No. What you CAN do though is make stuffing that is kept separate from the bird. There are so many versions of stuffing out there, and it is easy to have vegetarian stuffing. Just be sure to use vegetable broth (of course leave out any meat ingredients!)

It really depends on your personal belief, where you want to draw the line. There are many different kinds of "vegetarians." Some choose to eat fish or simply to severely limit their meat. Some will eat eggs and/or dairy, some won't. Everyone's diet choices are different, and some vegetarians don't mind a little random meat juice, others are diligent about keeping all animal products away from their food.

Yes, the stuffing inside the turkey will have some meat juice on it. Whether you choose to eat it or not, based on that knowledge, is your personal decision.

No, ask the cook to make a separate batch for you. My Mom does that because the stuffing will have meat juice in it. Suggest that the cook use vegetable broth so that the stuffing will still be moist. Some vegetarians eat it, but it really does have meat in it.

I wouldn't--hello, it has turkey stuff all over it! Also, there's a good chance they made the stuffing with chicken or turkey broth.

As others have said, ask them to cook stuffing with vegetable broth and cook it in a casserole dish instead of inside the turkey carcass.

You can do whatever you like, but if the stuffing was cooked INSIDE the turkey it would not be vegetarian.

"flexitarian vegetarians"---no such thing. Maybe you can ask Santa for some common sense this year.

You can do whatever you want, but stuffing that's cooked inside a turkey obviously is not vegetarian.

Well, that is a call only you can make.
As a vegetarian myself, I would not eat anything cooked on the same tray as anything non-veggie.....let alone something that is cooked in the gutted cavity of an animal! lol But, OK, technically, stuffing often is 'vegetarian'.

Dude, it's been up the turkey's butt. That's not a safe way to cook stuffing anyway - you should tell whoever's cooking that they should make the stuffing seperately in a pan because putting it in the turkey is a high risk for salmonella.

You CAN eat anything you want. A vegetarian chooses not to eat nonvegetarian foods. That would defeat the purpose of them CHOOSING to be vegetarian.

If you're okay with eating the stuffing, then eat it and don't call yourself vegetarian.
Why are you trying to fit a label instead of deciding what's okay for YOU, then finding a label to match that, if there is one?

Oh I get it. You are one of those vegetarians that does it to stay thin or something.

Well, if you like the taste of Turkey blood in stuffing go ahead! Be my guest. Yummy. Turkey blood.

Tisk. Tisk.
