Mine says "diabetes, insulin, asthma". It doesn't say insulin pump because I didn't have one when I got my ID.

Mine is short and sweet.
It says "Diabetes, Insulin Dependent, Insulin Pump" on it. The toll-free number to Medic Alert and my member number is engraved on it too.
My Medic Alert card lists my medications, allergies, conditions and my blood type. The rest of my information is in Medic Alert's files.

Mine says, "type 1 diabetic" "insulin pump"
All of that other stuff; my name, doctor's name, emergency number, etc is good to know but in an emergency when I'm unconscious it's not going to mean squat.

All you have to have is the word "diabetic". It doesn't matter if it's Type 1, Type 2 or insipidus....Knowing that you're diabetic is the important thing.
