I didn't see the story you're talking about - but just sacrificing yourself for someone who could care less is POINTLESS!

It is good in the name of love, if the guy loves the girl it is great and understandable, and its be biggest act to show love
On the other hand, if a guy is like a firefighter, law enforcer, or someone in the military, they are doing it because its their job.

It sounds good on paper. but then they have to work it out regardless of problems. Committment is crucial in a situation like this.

if he sacrifices his life to save her, i guess it's good. but keep in mind that one way or another, the boy and girl are both losers. one is dead and one has survivor's guilt.
