Yummy yes I like it very much. I also love the whole berry kind.

Most of the people I know, including family, always take a spoonful of either the jellied or whole cranberry sauce, it's traditional and I always serve both. Personally, I don't care for it even though I am aware how good it is for you.

I started noting a few years ago that most were only taking a teaspoon or so, so I figured that maybe they were just being polite. I did a switch up 2 years ago and prepared red sour pitted cherries in a light syrup (I bought them in cans). Again, they were polite and had a spoonful, guess what? they went back for more and they enjoyed them none left 2 years in a row. This year I was able to get them but in a large jar not the smaller cans. Well, that's OK as I made two cans anyway.

I love cranberry sauce. I make my own. The canned stuff isn't the same.

Your co-worker probably has a great recipe for a homemade cranberry relish or cranberry salad.

I love the jellied cranberry sauce, but I really detest the whole cranberry cause. Of course Ocean Spray is the very best!

I make my own homemade cranberry sauce... you just toss a bag of fresh cranberries in a frying pan, pour 1/2 to 1 cup of sugar over it and add a little lemon juice or lemon zest. It is tangier and fresher than canned stuff. You should try it; it goes great with a lot of entrees.

The stores sell a lot of it around Thanksgiving time, and some during the rest of the year too, so evidently people like it enough that you can easily find it. I prefer the whole-berry kind rather than the jelly type.

If the pot luck offering was home made, it may have tasted better than the canned stuff and may explain why it went fast.

Cranberry sauce is excellent if it is made from scratch as opposed to the gooey gel out of a can. And it's easy to make.

I LOVE it...especially the whole cranberry sauce. I tried a recipe a couple years ago that included orange juice & zest and that was a HUGE hit.
