Not necessarily. If you're not convinced deep down that you really need God and need to be a part of God's purposes. And you think your own plans are doing well and God's help would be just a nice added plus. So, when there's no sense of weakness, no awareness of our human limits, no awareness that it's God's power that makes things work, then prayer loses its sense of urgency, and life loses its touch with reality. Prayer needs to be regular and sincere and with utmost conviction. Then maybe praying before you go to sleep will keep the demons away.

"The most powerful word you can use against them is Jesus. Just ask for his help."

Wow. Just, wow.

"I have heard that it is a Scientific fact that if you pray before you go to sleep, it will keep the demons away from you while you sleep.

My husband who suffers from MS as well as my self have both experienced what you speak of in your question.

The way we resolved this was to "Pray" before going to sleep and the paralyzing feeling accompanied by a real sense of demonic force just wasn't there when we fell asleep.

May God Bless You"

Double wow. It just amazes me that a human being could be that mislead. Poor thing.

"But I wonder if you are into tongues, slaying in the spirit, and such psychic experiences. That will open you up to demonic contact, and you should get out of that."

That guy is old enough to know better (it seems) - what is wrong with people?

I don't know, because the anti-seizure medication I take before going to bed wipes out all thoughts of anything but getting under the covers before the 1-hour mini-coma begins. Trust me, it's better than throwing my shoulder out of socket.

I saw that and was amazed at the claim.I'm sure a highly regarded scientist such as Mr.Hovind of Dr.Dino fame must have carried out such research, possibly from his jail cell.

Whilst it holds no merit I am sure prayer does help you sleep - it certainly helps me whenever someone says"let us pray..."

I saw this as well. I never heard of such a study. If anything it may have a calming or placebo effect, though it most likely has nothing to do with the supernatural.

No, not a scientific fact, but falls under spiritual facts. The spirit realm is just as real as the natural realm, and closing your mind to it does not make it go away.
