The straight air distance is 55 km. So I think travel distance should be around 65 km as seen on http://distancecalculator.globefeed.com/Israel_Distance_Result.asp?fromplace=Tel%20Aviv-Yafo%20(Tel%20Aviv)&toplace=Jerusalem%20(Yerushalayim)&fromlat=32.0677778&tolat=31.7666667&fromlng=34.7647222&tolng=35.2333333

If you comming by air actually you do not reach as far as Tel -aviv you land in Lod air port ,which name is changed as well ,Lod airport is in the city of Lod which is originally an arab town Lydd but now is a mix city, the distance between Lod and Jerusalem hardly reach 50 kilometers that is about 30 miles, there is always transport from Lod airport to Jerusalem it is high way and a fast way in less than 40 minutes you can be in Jerusalem Again in Jerusalem there is an airport which was a Jordanian airport before 1967 ,it is in Qalandia area "east Jerusalem" which also has a new name of "atarout" but do not expect from Lod airport To Qalandia airport would stand easier

it takes about an hr to get from the central bus station in Jerusalem to the central bus station in Tel Aviv.

the train takes about 1.5 hrs!!!! that's because they spent a heck of a lot of money on building and setting the tracks, then put in the wrong carriages, so it doesn't travel so fast.
