I'm tracking my weight every week for weight loss. Should I weigh myself in the morning, before I eat, or at night after I am done eating? And why?

Thanks!

I'd do the night thing. Cause when the green flag drops, the bullshit stops.

Morning - before you eat because this weighs your true weight loss, as you haven't eaten. If you weighed yourself at night, after you had eaten, then the weight of the food would be included, therefore not giving a true picture of your weight loss.

Always weigh yourself in the morning before break fast.Keep the timing exactly same everyday.Note down the same in a piece of paper date-wise.
Taking weight at night is proper. We do take some food and drinks during the day and eat at night , the weight of which varies ....... apparently because, the weight of food and drinks is not constant.

I think first thing in the morning before any kind of intake because if you weigh yourself at night after eating all day you're going to weigh a few pounds heavier after eating/drinking whereas if you weigh yourself in the morning you've given your body the chance to digest your intake from the previous day overnight to obtain your true weight.

Morning is best, as it's a time to weight yourself without any extenuating circumstances. So you (probably) won't have eaten for 10 hours or so, or drunk very much liquid, so you're just weighing yourself. At night you might have had a big meal one night, and then a light one the next so it's not really comparable.

i am doing the same and I have found that weighing myself in the evening, i am heavier. don't know why but i am, I have heard it has something to do with distribution of body fluids when you sleep. When I wrestled in High School we would do a head stand for like 3min and then sprint to the scale to make weight. Supposedly had something to do with your center of gravity being higher and the scale not picking it up. Fascinating huh? Anyway I can assure you that to track accurately I would at least track your weight the same time every day to be consistant.

In the morning after going to the bathroom. You won't have a belly full of food, which will make you weigh more.

The best way to weigh yourself is in the morning after you go to the bathroom.

cause your stomach is not full and your bladder is empty.

Good luck:

In the morning, bowels empty, fingernails clipped, beard trimmed etc. Actually it doesn't matter when, so long as you are consistent about the time you are doing it if you want to obtain a proper comparison.

When is irrelevant. What is important is consistency. The same scale, the same time of day, same clothes(nude), before/after using the restroom. Consistency.
