So is it not terribly pompous to then forgive us those sins that were his fault anyway?? How do you explain that? He made us sinful did he not? Is it not all his fault?

This question is older than sin. Did God create it?........... Are you God?

Speaking only of the Christian God which is what you appear to be alluding to:

God does not create everything.

If God created a hand and then created a ball and then the hand threw the ball away, God didn't create kinetic energy. The hand produced it and therefore created it. However, that does mean God is responsible for causing it and this appears to be part of what appeals him to his followers early on.

Unlike other Gods who strike down and punish their followers through harm or take an impassive stance in preceding events, this monotheistic God who eventually came to be the Christian God forgives instead of punishes and therefore his compassion must be either absolute or surpassing other Gods or humans at least.

Whether this is pompous is relative to whether you consider yourself to be pompous/you consider other Gods to be pompous.

Assuming you do, then this God is less pompous than you are. Whether this means he is or isn't pompous is entirely up to your conclusion of yourself or other Gods or a combination of both.

He did have a time where he did become more pompous than he currently is assuming he did not change after the events of the Bible were written.

That is during Noah's time where he did become pompous compared to every other event of himself and he tried fixing his fault by eliminating everything on Earth except for Noah and a bunch of animals. He later resolve that even though it did fix the problem, it was pompous to do so and then went on to adopt a lesser pompous stance of absolute forgiveness rather than absolute extinction though what I mean by absolute here is really his definition of what deserves to exist and what doesn't rather than absolute one species i.e. absolute all humans must die because they are sinful.

God is not responsible for what evil men do; they alone are responsible, and they are accountable to God for their evil actions. The Bible warns, "The soul who sins is the one who will die. ... The wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him" (Ezekiel 18:20).

You see, when God first created the human race, He made them completely free. In other words, they were not puppets; they had the freedom to choose whether to love God and follow Him or to turn against Him. Since that awful time in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve decided to turn away from God, the human race has been infected with a spiritual disease—a disease the Bible calls "sin." The Bible warns, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9).

When men allow sin to take over their souls and live without any restraints, they end up doing terrible things to others. But listen: Life doesn't have to be this way! Jesus Christ came into the world to bring us forgiveness by His death on the cross. He also came to change us and give us new life. He alone can change our hearts—and He will, as we open our lives to Him.

Sin is a willful act against God's Laws. The devil brings sin into the world and God gave us free will. If one chooses to sin he is in league with Satan. Read the Bible. We are not automatons. We have freewill. No,we are not made sinful. We have Adamic sin due to the disobedience of the first humans on earth. Our own rebellious nature condemns us.To say it is pompous for God to provide us a way for Salvation is as bright as saying the same thing about humans releasing criminals from prison after serving their time.Rules and laws exist for our own good.

Some people have said sin is an act not created by God. However if God is the creator he would have to of created sin beacuse he has designed EVERYTHING within this 3 dimensional existence including the idea of sin.

Isaiah 45:7 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Therefore, to answer your question, the Christian god is the creator of evil and all sins. How can evil be not consider sins?

Since you are asking a theological question, we should bring the Bible into it. It is written : Through one man sin was brought into the world." It does not say God brought it in, but man (Adam) . Also, it does not say that woman (Eve) brought it in. For Eve was not given the charge by God to "not eat of the fruit", but Adam. Even though Eve is the one that "ate of the fruit", it was Adam that was rejected when he ate.
This is also the great and wonderful charge that men have in marriage. This is deep and this is not the place to get into it only to say that, I believe, this is the major cause of divorce in this country. I said this was deep.
Men, take your stand as the spiritual head of your wife (family) and wives, submit (partnership) with your husbands.

Sin means not doing God's will.
God gave us the ability (free will) to choose to do His will or not.

God knew that we would sin at times, so He made a way for us to be forgiven.

We still have the ability to reject that salvation and accept the consequence of living (and dying) in our sins.

God created everything. When he created us he gave us free will. We have abused this free will and that has led us to sin. God may not have created sin, but he created us with the capability to sin.

GOD did not create sin. Sin started with a disobedient angel named sin. That angel decided that he wasn't happy being an angel and instead wanted to be god. That angel and one third of all the angels in heaven who followed his disobedience, were thrown out of heaven. GOD did not create us as sinful, that sin was shown to Eve by satan in the garden of Eden. She then chose to disobey GOD and got her husband to do the same. That is the origin of sin but GOD has given us an out in JESUS CHRIST.

Remember, GOD loves you even when you don't love Him!

If I baked a cake, and you ate it - would you say I "made" you eat it?

Sin is anything that goes against the LORD!

The choice isn't God's, but our own -- to either follow Him or to be led astray by the one that brought sin to the table in the first place, Satan.

God Bless You
