I hardly ever wash mine - I know it sounds weird, but it kind of conditions itself because the natural oils aren't being stripped from washing it too often.

I've always had long thick hair. I wash my hair in the mornings before work every two days or so, it takes about an hour to wash, blow dry and straighten. If I get up a lot earlier, I can leave my hair wrapped up in a towel on my head for slightly longer which reduces the amount of time spent blow drying. I love the summer when I can wash my hair and leave the house without blow drying or straightening.

I have long hair (halfway down my back) and it takes about 6 hours to dry naturally. I don't like using a hairdryer so I wash it about 3pm on a Sunday, then I straighten it, and that takes about 30 minutes with GHD straighteners (they are worth the extra money) If your hair is very thick and you want to speed up the drying times maybe you should get it thinned out a little bit.

I have extremely thick, long hair! I know how you feel! I wash my hair at around 7:30 every other night! sometimes i take showers every day for a couple of days and than skip a day than just go back to washing every other day. It takes me about 15-20 min. to style brush and dry my hair. It can be very hard at times but just hang in there, when you step out of the shower you really feel refreshed! I promise it will start to work out(well i guess i shouldn't promise!) You should feel great when you step out of the shower! good luck!!! -Kelsea

I also have thick hair so I wash mine every other day in the evening and let it dry naturally over night. I then straighten it in the morning just before i leave for school. This will also maintain the frizziness and stop it from going curly.
I hope my advice has helped

It's not going to damage it if you wash it every day. I have long, stick straight hair too, and I HAVE to wash it every day. It is incredibally greasy looking if I don't. If you had dry hair, it would probably be best to limit the washing, but since your hair is oily, washing it every day won't hurt it at all.

I wash my hair everyday around 10pm-11pm.. that's when I usually take a shower. I always wear my hair straight, so sometimes after I take a shower, I blow dry my hair (Which takes about 30 min. with a good blow dryer, I have waist length super thick hair)

I do it twice a week at about five o'clock, so it has plenty of time to dry naturally. Because it's so long, it doesn't really get greasy. If you have your down every day though, you shpuld probably wash it more often.
