Not particularly. If there was eternal life, this would all be rather pointless. I'd be even lazier than I am now.

that would be mind numbingly boring. i would be doing the most ridiculous things. i would type this answer at one letter a year, just because i had the time. eternal life is depressing. what was that book, where the redneck-ish family found the well and got eternal life and that girl almost drank some but didint? there was a frog at the end with eternal life. i think her name was winny or some such thing. it had a yellow cover.
yeah, that's a good example.

Longer but not eternal. I think eternal life could become something unpleasant. I remember first thinking about this after reading "Tuck Everlasting". Few people think about or can imagine what it might really be like to be immortal. It would depend a lot on other conditions, like loved ones lifespan, etc..

Sure if the eternal life was good and not some kind of torture. But have seen no evidence to indicate there is an afterlife and none of the religions I studied seemed worthy of the Gods they claim they represent. Seem more like works of man hoping to continue to exist.

Sure, I'd love to spend eternity floating around a fantastical cloud palace strumming a harp. I'd also like it if leprechauns were real, so I could share my lucky charms with them. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm going in a box in the ground to rot, just like everyone else who's ever lived and died.

Nah. It would get boring after the first seven thousand years.

"Atheists reject the notion of eternal life if that means that God will be an authority over them."

Sure, sounds fun! I'd also love to have a fat guy in a red suit do all my Christmas shopping.

I still ain't convinced. The argument "Wouldn't it be nice if..." really isn't particularly compelling.

Nice try though. Have another go!

I don't know. Maybe. Depends on the quality of it...

Imagine an eternity spent with people who despise you?

In a Human body? No way. Even as a "spirit" I think existence would become extremely tedious.
