I'm an AP mom and I'm wondering what I could do on new years so that both my daughter and I have a good night...it will most likely be just me and her since everyone else in the world is going out!

Each of you get a large jar and daily write on a slip of paper a happy time you shared with each other . Like"I remember when you told that joke and just you and I were laughing. It was great!" Do as many as you can between now and then and put them in your jar.

On New Year's eve read them to each other and have a pajama party for the 2 of you. You could even get those party hats and noise makers and bottled string to spray at one another!

Happy New Year!

pop fireworks if it's legal in your area

go watching the arials or go to a party, plan a party? we always have a party and watch the arials. new years is like christmas to us, except during christmas we get more presents. some in my family only open their presents in the new years.

don't forget to make sure you start off the new years good. the most important thing about the year is how you begin and end it. that will determine how it maybe throughout the year.

if you don't have a tradition, start a new one. like making sure every thing is clean before new years, we do that. or wearing red, eating a special food as the first food of the new year.

being in a partly asian family, new years is the most important holiday.

i hope you and your daughter have a great new years.

Just watch the ball drop on tv, have a glass of wine, or sparkling grape juice and chill. It should be relaxing and refreshing to not have to dodge drunks, and barf all night!
