If God did NOT exist, there would be no conception of God whatsoever, in any shape or form. We would be like the brute beasts, just living by instinct, wishing only to eat, sleep, and reproduce. Oh hang on a minute. Flawed logic. There would be no beasts and no humans. No planet earth and no universe. So, logic brings us back to the irreducible fact that only God could instill into us any sense of God. As one-time atheist C S ewis argued, 'Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger; well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim; well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire; well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.'
The multiplicity of concepts does not point to polytheism but to our corruption due to our sin and trying to reduce God to our own, base level.

God does exist and whether people acknowledge Him or not is up to them.
If you think about the Tower of Babel and mankind wishing to be equal with God there has always been a perversity in people. They want to believe it their way and do their own thing. The penalty of freewill.
Certainly Jews and Christians have the same roots from Abraham and Isaac. Those who came via Ishmael had the same forbears but a different promise, and here we have a problem because Mohammed made claims which were wrong and denied that Jesus is the Son of God.
'Modern' theology has brought about vast problems by asserting the trinity. By doing so they lay themselves open to some of the complaints expressed by Islam. God is not three in one. God is all powerful, almighty and the creator of all things. The angels accomplish His works. God's power is the Holy Spirit. The Greek word pneuma = breath, wind. The Hebrew word rauch = is much the same. The God-breathed word of scripture is 'inspired'.
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who died to atone for men's sins. God cannot die. Some are foolish enough to say that God died on the cross because of taking their trinitarian views to the ultimate.
I believe NO other books, whether the Qu'ran, the book of Mormon or whatever
are entitled to say that they have any message from the LORD God Almighty.

That's the ultimate paradox. All these concepts of God when no concept can accurately be attached to God. The same thing that fuels religions, specifically, words and concepts employed in the search for "something" that is both inside you and within your grasp, also fuels the fighting between them. The Tao best describes this paradox. If you can put a name to it, it is not the Tao. There comes a time in everyone's spiritual evolution when they must let religion go and experience God within. That experience simultaneously answers all the questions and renders words and concepts completely and utterly useless.

Why does each religion have their own conception of God? Because Satan is very good at what he does.
He confuses people. He lies. He tempts. He decieves. He will do whatever he can to divert your focus from truth.
God has given you free will. You must decide which is the right religion (another question).
Rest assured that God loves you very much

The question u have asked is bit interesting , God existence which has always been doubtful where as this is not the actual stance, God do exists but we humans were and r confused in accepting HIM . God created the entire world with all the things created by Him and still we humans have been worshiping HIS created things like
1. Humans ( Jesus, Rama, Krishna, Buddha)
2. Sun .moon. stars .trees. animals
true God in almost all the religion confirms what the holy Quran says in chapter 112 : 1-4
" Say ur Lord is ONE and Only. He is absolute and Eternal. HE begets not nor He is begotten and nothing can compare unto Him." This is the four line definition of true God and try this touchstone on any god if it fits than that is ur true God otherwise sorry u r worshiping tin god.
Now ur next part of question "why do each religion has their ......"
Answer lies within almost all the scriptures do promote concept of one God .it's we who introduced the new system from our own. Like in Bible we r told to worship one God see duet 2:9 and mark 12: 29 says "ur lord and my God is one" thus confirms the teaching of Islam " say ur Lord is ONE and ONLY." AL Quran 112: 1-4
Therefore I would request not to confuse ur self unnessarly and read ur Scripture u will find the true God ur self . So simple isn't.............

Each of the concepts of God are the same. He was the Creator of the universe, of people, you have to be moral to follow him in Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism
Even though Christianity and Hinduism split God up a bunch they both say all of same basic concepts

As a Deist I have concluded that a God/Intelligent Designer(s) exist. While concluding that God exists, Deists do not believe in any Religion. I used to say that I believed in God, but people began to ask me what Deist's believe, like there was a Deist religion. I have simply concluded this by my own observation of nature. I can't prove it, nor can anyone disprove it.
What's absurd is that there is a Deist movement. To me that is an oxymoron.
That being said, if one reached the conclusion that there is a "God" from the observation of the natural world, there is little else, besides his likely existance that nature reveals about "Him/it/them".
"Oh but God is kind look at the variety of foods he gives us" Look at 1/3 of the world that is malnourished.
"Oh but God is good, look at how marvelous our bodies are!" Look at the many children dying of cancer, diabetes and suffering from birth defects.
Nature reveals to me an intellegence. A warped, sadistic intellegence.
"But my God is kind and loving." That's why He is going to punish in a most vile and cruel way those who do not believe as you do. And you take comfort in that. "You'll see!! My God will show you how wrong you are!" And you just love telling people they are going to Hell or God is going to kill them at Armageddon.
Doesn't that seem just a little absurd??
We are all in one big petrie dish being poked at by the "Creator(s)". We all know we will die, some of us in a painful and horrible way. We cling to life but are gauranteed death.
We are some beings cosmic science experiment, with no point, gone horribly wrong. So we "imagine" a point to our own existance and call it "Religion".
Hope for the hopeless

There is only one God, people interpret God in different names and forms. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe, present everywhere and is beyond life and death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future, and remember ignorance gives failures. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Improve by Gaining and Sharing utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Best, Right, Good, Truth, God against Worst, Wrong, Bad, Untruth, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

Pick your religion
For the purposes of this answer ‘Faiths’ are included in religions because the semantic word play will not be acknowledged.
Most religions claim they their book is divinely inspired.
Some actually claim it to be written by their god.
Most religions claim to be the true religion.
Most religions say that they have proof of their religion being the true one yet all the arguments are circular therefore invalid.
Because of this, all religions say it is about ‘Faith’ and following your heart.
So, because the above is true then all religions are equally valid.
Most religions claim to be the way of love and peace.
Most religions have killed to convert.
All religions are different but claim to have commonalities.
Therefore it follows that they must all be dilutions.

If you look into the history of the christian church the awnser is clear. During apostolic times the christian church was being persecuted and many christians were being killed in because of thier faith in Rome, This continued until Constintine (formerly pagan) became a christian (weather his conversion was genuine is debatible) and decreed that everyone in his kingdom and the pagan world needed to become christian. This is when Constintine had his army march thru a river and declared them baptized christians. The problem is that not everyone wanted to give up thier pagan gods and there was a mixing of pagans and christians. This period of history known as the dark ages was a time when there was fighting within the church, christians were being burned at the stake for saying that Jesus forgives your sins and you dont need to pay pennince. This is also why we have christian churches today that have pagan syombols and pagan gods and statues in them with christian names. The payment of money to forgive sins is the way that the church in rome funded the building of its beautiful buildings and cathidrals. The first group to discover that the church had become corrupt (because they kept people in the dark and did not allow them to read the bible they needed to re discover the truth as it had been warped by the church) was the Luthrens. Martin Luther nailed his thises to the door of the church and he had a following. Some people heald Martin Luther in a higher regard than the bible itself and they stuck to the group and formed thier beliefs around what Martin Luther believed, others discovered more error in the traditions of the church by studying scripture and they devloped other christian churches with different beliefs, baptist, methodist, etc.. The people who hold to the traditions of thier fathers (who may have been very sincear seekers of the turth in the bible) stay with what they believe and no longer go to the bible. The presence of so many different christian churches does not prove there is no God it is simply the result of people who follow the traditions of thier parents and dont seek the truth for themselves. If one wants to know what to believe about the bible they need to read and understand it for themselves or else fall into the same trap as everyone else.
