Let me start by saying that my dental hygiene is great...

Anywho, I have noticed today that the gum between my two bottom front teeth is no longer connected and it feels sorta weird (doesn't feel like anything technically, I can move it around with my tongue and that is what is weird).

Has this happen to anyone before? If so was it serious? I am just curious... would hate to go to the dentist for something small.

I would also like to add that it isn't moving a whole lot but it does move in and out alittle.. it is normally flush with my teeth but now I can sorta suck it in and feel it and push it out.. when I look at it in the mirror it looks like it isn't stuck to the teeth (I know it does actually stick to the tooth but it doesn't move like this normally).

While this is definitely not normal, I'd give it a few days to see if it doesn't resolve [and try to stop playing with it]. You may have injured the tissue which has caused it to enlarge and if that's the case it will heal itself. However, if it gets worse or doesn't resolve in a week call your doc for an evaluation.

I haven't ever had that, but as we age, our gums recede. Also, if the gum is irritated it might swell some between the small close teeth. If it doesn't clear up in a week or so, see a dentist to be sure.

what I can gather from your description, this looseness could be because of the gingivitis--- ie chronic inflammation of the gums, which could in turn be because of the tartar deposits in that particular area. In any case, you need to pay a visit to the dentist for proper check-up. In any case, it is a very common complaint, dont worry- go ahead and seek professional care. Please dont forget....a stitch in time saves nine!!!
