Relax, give it a week or two to see if looks any better, and if you still hate it go to another stylist.

Fortunately, you didn't try to dye or perm it. Those accidents are some of the worst. Like everyone else said, a bad cut can be grown out and (straightened in the meantime).
To get it straight, buy a flat iron if you don't already have one. (I really recommend the Sedu. Get it off Folica.com for $88. Then find the heat protectant/straightening styling product that works you like. I recommend mixing Loreal Hot Straight with Infusium 23 Leave-in Conditioner (or Aussie Leave-in Conditioner). CHI Silk Infusion and Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide also work wonders when used with leave-in conditioner...but a little goes a long way so these can be tricky to distribute.
Shower. Use deep-conditioner if hair is dry or damaged. Squeeze hair with towel. When its damp, apply product. Let air dry a little longer. Use blow dryer. Pin it into sections. Flat iron each section. You're done.
I seriously think that just about any haircut looks good straight and silky.
P.S.--For faster-growing hair, take a multivitimin--especially B12--eat protein, and take Omega 3 fatty acids (they won't make you fat!)
A.P.S.--Good news. At least this happened in the winter, while humidity is low. By summer or sooner, your hair should be much better. ^_^

Saw a program once American TV girl had her hair very badly ruined - even took pictures to show a judge, but she lost her case in court.
probably because while in court she did not come across at all well, even said the hair dresser was her friend, but hair dresser denied everything.
So if your hairdresser is willing to compensate you out of court be good thing.
My nieces at Christmas and on my birthday cut mine for me, but this time they put hair dye in it, and it came out orange and white; they told me it was only a wash out dye, but it was permanent. Damaged my hair very badly.
So I always go to see my favourite hair dresser these days.
But above picture was taken well before my nieces started messing with my hair, I was 42 then 5 years ago.
Think it needs cutting soon. but reluctant to trust my nieces again after last event. Started to go a bit grey now and am only 47.
I think if you are a non smoker your hair keeps nice for longer.
Drinking too much alcohol also causes greyness.

before you do anything silly like cutting it even shorter, try different things with it. Try it straight. Maybe us a big fat curling iron and give it a slight curl at the bottom. If that doesn't work try using a Small barrel curling iron and do up some smal curls. You might even like it as a different color. Good luck!

The best thing you can do is go to another hairdresser and ask them to fix it. and go back and get a refund from the other one if you can.
if not you can tie it into a bun while it grows out.

First of all, calm down. Your life isn't over because of this.
OK, wash your hair and then while it's still damp work with it to style it. You can always do something with it. Use a little - and I do mean little - gel or mousse if you want.

Nice thing about hair is, it grows.
Know how you feel, though, bet you even gave her a tip. Hairdressers I've been to don't really care about what you want....that's why I don't go to them anymore.
