i want one at least 50 inches or more but i dont know what brand to go with. i want one where it has great gfx and color. i watch dvds alot and watch espn and play video games so i hope theres a tv for that. a friend of mine showed me this but i dont know if thats the right one.

Consumer Reports has consistently rated the 50"Panasonic as one of the best value for the money.
In my opinion the Pioneer is without a doubt the best quality.
It all depends on your budget.

The one your friend showed you is very good but there are better ones. What you have to do is decide if you want to spend more than this $1700 set costs. If not this is likely the one for you. If you can afford to spend more you could get a direct view LCD instead of a rear projection LCD.
Panasonic, Sharp (Aquos models), Sony (Bravia models) are some of the best sets.

I got a Vizio 42 in at the Wall mart... Under $900 got the upgraded cable box $5 a monht on my plan.
This is great. Happy.

First you have to decide what kind of TV you want, Plasma, LCD, Projection, ... . Personally, I prefer LCD for longer life span, quality and it needs lees room. If you have choose LCD, select one from Sony, As it has best LCD panels. Please note that you can get a 46'' LCD for something about 2500$. If you have choose Projection, get the same brand. And for Plasma buy one from Panasonic.
