Well, you are going to have to wait the prescribed amount of time before re-shampooing with the lice shampoo. Did you use the "nit" comb to remove all the egg sacs from the hair shafts after you shampooed? If you didn't, then you have the answer as to why she is re-infested! You must remove all the nits immediately after you shampoo, otherwise new one hatch and you are "back to square one!"

If you used a prescription strength preparation such as "Quell" you will have to wait the prescribed amount of time because your child can absorb a toxic amount of the poison if it is repeated too soon. Check with your doctor about the possibility of using something over-the-counter like "Rid." It contains a weaker concentration of medicine that will kill the live ones, then, use the nit comb and get rid of those egg sacs! It is a tedious and time consuming job, but it must be done to get rid of them! The only other alternative is to cut her hair short!

One more thing, you better make sure that all the other kids where she picked them up are treated or it will be a repeating cycle of infestation!

I grew up in a small town and one of the families there would get lice constantly. I would stay the night with them and afterwards I washed my hair with dog shampoo once a week and never got lice after I started to do that.

A good way to get rid of lice, but time consuming is to put their hair in little squares and use diluted alcohol on her scalp and then put some in the shampoo. I don't know how harmful that can be to the hair but that's what my mom did once.

I hope that helps in any way!

I lived in a place once that had the super lice. Nothing would kill them or their eggs. I used the nit shampoos that you can buy over the counter, and it didnt work. So I took my daughter to the doc. to see if he could help to kill them. He gave me a prescription shampoo. It didn't work either. I was devastated by the ugly critters. No matter what I did, then seemed to keep coming back. My daughter had really long hair and I was about to shave her bald just to get rid of them.
Finally, I good friend of mine came by and suggested something that would work. To kill the little eggs also. I thought it was crazy to do this but I was desperate.
This is what I did, and it worked and I never had a problem with them again. Killed the eggs also.
I washed her hair in straight pine-sol cleaner. straight out of the bottle. I left it on her hair for 1/2 hour and washed it out.
I combed her hair out and got rid of the comb after wards. and by God! It worked, Never had a problem with them since and she was only 4 then, and now she is 13. Try it.. it works.
Hope that this helps you. I know what your going thru.

Headlice is yukkkkkkkkk, but i think ya need a better brand, a good brand kills the lice and the eggs straight away.
And another thing is, the shampoo may be good but u need to wash all bedding etc and everyone in the household need to do there hair too.

what you need to do is every 2 days is to wash her hair then apply loads of conditioner and go through with a nit comb removing all the lice do this for 2 weeks at least and they will go i wouldn't advise using chemical products on the child's head as a study has revealed that o.ps cant enter their body via the skin and has been known to cause nerve damage this is a natural way to rid your child of these lil creatures also don't forget to do this to all members of the family pain in the **** but much better then using nasty chemicals

I know this is serious, I'm sory, cuz she is young. Hair dye is a for sure thing that has worked for my niece before. Unfortunately, if you dont treat the environment around her (her room and your house including bedding , towels, furnature, pillows, stuffed toys ect,) you wont get rid of them. You also have to comb her hair with a very fine tooth comb that resembles a flea comb for animals. If you do these things I assure you you'll get rid of them. Also throw away brushes and such. I wish you the best of luck

my sister faced this problem too. she generally got it from school. try out putting oil on her hair for 24 hrs(olive oil). the lice will die along with the eggs. you can also put some mayonise on her hai(no joke it rwally works). wash off with a shampoo and conditioner after an hour. ginger paste works well too.

in the beginning, trim/shave off your pubic hair. Then use the particular shampoo/ointment made for this party... you may in many cases locate it at any drug keep. Secondly, 23 adult men in a month is....ridiculous. in case you opt to maintain getting lice and lord knows what else, then save screwing around! in any different case, save your pants on.
