Body weight exercises can be very effective.

Check out Matt Furey's "Combat Conditioning" book at http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

I have the book and it's pretty good. He focuses on three exercises: Hindu Squats, Hindu Pushups, and Bridges. He has lots of variations on those exercises as you get stronger, but just those three can do a lot for your strength.

no, i don't think that sounds pathetic at all!! trying to be healthy is never bad.
you can use canned food as weights for your arms, it doesn't have to even be all that heavy, just do lots of slow repetitions.
you can try running up and down the stairs. it doesn't really matter how fast you go, but it's sort of like a substitute treadmill lol.
just don't put mp3 player headphones in your ears when you go running, as that distracts you from the world around and isn't so good.
good luck! :)

Fill some milk jugs with sand or water and use them as weights. It makes it easy because the longer you do it the more you can add more weight to them. Don't do the same exercises over and over every day. You need to change them every once in a while so your body doesn't get used to the routein.

Increase your calorie intake and carb intake. Use canned food or bottled water as makeshift hand weights, sit ups, skip rope, use the edge of the bed to do those arm pushup things of the side of the bed, normal pushups, squats theres alot of info on the net about doing stuff at home. Good Luck.

you can always move your furniture around, depending on the size of your tv you can do squats with it, fill a paper bag up with canned goods or small heavy things and do arm curls with them, put your feet up on your couch or coffee table and do push ups to make them more challenging. to help build on muscle do less reps of a heavier weight (to burn fat do more reps of a lighter weight). eat lots of lean protein (chicken breast) and/or get some Muscle Milk or Power Bar Protein Plus bars and eat them just before or just after you work out and that will also help you gain muscle.

Uh, maybe heavy and loads of books? you can do push ups on the floor. But to tell you what, I think it's better that you should go to the gym.Because in that way, you are exercised properly. If you're not convinced, you jug outside of your house.

Gallon-sized milk jugs or water jugs work well as dumbbells. You can fill up the jugs with as little or as much water weight as you'd like.
