No, He is one of the most maligned characters in the new testament. If he didn't do what he had done, the rest would not have happened, no arrest, no crucifixion and no resurrection.

There are no descendents of Judas alive today so your question is moot. The following passage speaks prophetically about the one who betrayed the Messiah, namely Judas.

Psalm 109:8 Let his days be few;
Let another take his office.
9 Let his children be fatherless
And his wife a widow.
10 Let his children wander about and beg;
And let them seek sustenance far from their ruined homes.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has,
And let strangers plunder the product of his labor.
12 Let there be none to extend lovingkindness to him,
Nor any to be gracious to his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be cut off;
In a following generation let their name be blotted out.

I get a lot of pub at work recently for the fact that I was once a roommate of a person who is now a murderer. Pretty cool, eh? I think it's cool to be associated with famous or infamous people. All publicity is good publicity.

Judas from the bible? I'd admit it.

Judas Rabbi? I'd become emo and cut myself.

Yea, I'll like, "Heyall, Judah was my closest buddy in my past life!" Why should I be embarassed? He merely turned over a dude who thinks his dad's God, for MONEY. It's shameful he killed himself in guilt at the end. I like selfish people, very VERY selfish ones.

And according to "Christ", he HAD to die anyway to wipe off sin.

Why not? We're all sinners. My grandfather is a rabid racist. Doesn't make me one though does it?
