Since I have attended college I have been able to mature a lot. I used to be in drug treatment and now that I am out I have been "finding myself." I have always been outgoing and bubbly, but I don't have a "goth" look now and dress a lot nicer and keep myself clean and neat. I am afraid some people are going to think I am being a snob when I am not trying to

It sounds like you are worried that if you don't put yourself down, others will. Try not to pre-judge people in this way.

Most of them WILL give you a chance. Those that don't are having their own brand of trouble, and need to put others down to feel better about themselves.

Be yourself and you'll meet people who like you FOR yourself, and that's where genuine friendship starts!

Best wishes and good luck :-)

I personally don't see how being bubbly and outgoing be mistaken for being a snob as the opposite of those characteristics would seem more likely. Besides, don't let what others "may" think of you define who you are. Just be yourself and people will eventually see that.

You can't control what other people think or say. Be polite, friendly to all you can be friendly to, don't judge. You've accomplished something in your life already. Being vivacious, bubbly and cheerful are great assets, so don't let some gloomy Gus or narrow minded prim person spoil it.

Yes. People who are not so bubbly will not be able to get along with you.
