Okay i am just wondering these just questions:

Why if so many people beleive that jesus is holy do they not read a good biblical book? Yes Jesus was a good person who did great stuff but it is documented that constantine (the great) with the help of the nicean council wrote the bible? I am a christian myself but yet i know the origin of my belief.

Also:
how do people not realise that the egyptiaen religion and christianity merged? Like SUNday? or what about Halo's?

I knw these are wide questions but if anyone could further this debate it would be helpful.

It would be wise, to do much more reading on your faith then what you have already done, because if you look other places, their you will find a number of different answers on who rewrote the bible. But you should be glad that you are doing research on your faith that is very smart of you. All im saying is different sources say different things and regardless what you read or learn its never enough to satisfy the mind. Me I dont know the Origins of my faith which is Christian nor can i give you any physical hard evidence I Believe because my hearts tells me to, is that a crime to do so, I do research as well to but I found out that no matter how much I know I always will seek and never really find a answer im satisfied with, peace be with you.

Im rather concerned that your source of information may be somewhat lacking. Christians worship on sunday coz Jesus was raised on a sunday, its the day of the ressurection. And you believe Constantine wrote the Bible? Id research a few more sources just to be sure if I were you. "Why...not read a good biblical book?" - We believe the Bible to be Biblical enough. Jesus was the Son of God. Forget about Egypt, its all in the Bible. www.bible.ca is a good site.
Peace

I think that view that Constantine wrote the bible is BS BTW no offenese but yes any believing or professing christian should do much reading in order to decipher for themselves the truth from heresy and as Spurgeon said "How can you argue for the truth if you havent studied and learned both sides of the controversy"

But also I do think that St Augustines debate against Palagius was one of the biggest and greatests debates banning palgianism that ever could have taken place back then for christianity.

The coming of the Christ-Child was foretold thousands of years before the event ever took place, that's a pretty good tract-record, wouldn't you say? How strange that the very religion that doesn't see Jesus as the son of God kept such wonderful records of his birth and his short life here on earth, and how he died. As for the Bible, its contents are of God and also of man's paganism. It is no doubt the most read book in the whole world, but also the most abused book in the world also, when it comes to man's "Thou Shall, and his Thou Shall Not's.

You have been watching zeitgeist too much... Honestly, a movie won't pass for an education. I suggest the latter.

You are wrong on so very many points. It is not possible to address them all.

a recognisable christian faith complete with bible was in existence long before constantine. (pliny mentions some problems he is having with christians in his letters).

perhaps people don't read the 'good biblical books' you speak of because they don't need the misinformation.

i think of it is fantastic. i don't see a concern with names from the bible. they are in simple terms names. i think of Nathaniel Ezra sounds fantastic. Names that are slightly unusual to me are names like Christian (um.. yeah, naming your infant the call of a faith is cool?), Eden (i think of of the backyard of eden this is slightly lots for me), and Evangeline (human beings swear it in simple terms means to convey the best information yet at this factor i think of it has reliable religious connotations because of the fact of Evangelical Christians. All i'm able to think of approximately is a few man or woman going door to door attempting to transform human beings to their faith). So yeah, a acceptance like Nathaniel Ezra is advantageous.

What you are referring to is not biblical christianity. You are referring to roman catholicism. Constantine didn't write the bible, it was written by the jews.

One of the happiest days of my life would be if everyone stopped using the "sun=son" crap argument. Nobody spoke English back then!

Halos, fire, sunbeams, wings etc. were always used to show deities to make them look different and important compared to people.
