I have a simple question....Is it okay to increase your pass line bet to increase the odd bet, after the point is estabished???example.....i start with a 5$ passline and wait till a 6 or 8 is established. Then I increase my pass line bet to 20$ so i can increase my odd bet to 100$. I do this because it is more likely to hit the number than the others...thank you for your time?

p.s Im asking because luxor and paris hotel never say anything...while other players tell me i cant do that....

You may make a pass line bet or increase a pass line bet after the point is established.

You may NOT decrease or remove a pass line bet after the point is established.

You may NOT make a don't pass line bet or increase a don't pass line bet after the point is established.

You may decrease or remove a don't pass line bet after the point is established.

There is another way to get exactly the same results.

When you increase your pass line bet to $20 and take $100 odds you will be risking $120 to make $140.

You could also simply leave the pass line bet at $5, take $25 odds, and place the point for $90. Once again you will be risking $120 to make $140.

Don't worry about what the other players think you can or cannot do. The crew running the table knows the rules and is responsible for enforcing them.

that is a strange question. maybe because you don't fully understand the game. i think you are asking if a a put bet is allowed. it probably is because you are talking about 5X odds. when the 6 shows you bet $120... follow your thinking. you go straight up on the big six instead of a pass line for 20 bucks. it is essentially the same as a pass line bet because it pays even money (did you even know that?) when the six hits you win 20....then place $120 when it hits again you win $140 (did you know this bet pays 7:6 ?) did you know any pass line bet with 5X odds only has about .05% ccasino advantage. sure the 6 and 8 hit more often but pay less than odds on the other point numbers? i hope i confused you. NEVER BET THE BIG 6 or 8....so the question here is are you a thirty dollar bettor or a hundred dollar bettor. either go up on the 6 (or 8) for a hundred and 2 dollars with a place bet or 5 on the pass line with maximum odds. obviously a 20 pass line bet with 4X odds is better than a place bet but you make the call. if you do not know exactly what I am talking about surf a little on the Internet and you will get the answer. (figure out why I said $102)

Yes, you can bet the pass line after the point has been established. You are now taking a hugely negative bet now, the casino likes that.

No, you cannot change your pass/don't pass bets once a point is established. Just be sure to always max out your odds bet (well, within your limits) since it pays true odds regardless of the point, making it the best bet on the table...in fact pretty much the best bet on any table game.
