This guy and I always joke around and make fun of each other in a nonharsh way. We first started talking when he came up to me and asked why I'm so quiet and if I see anyone I would "give it to" because he thinks none of the girls are cute and I told him no and he said, "you're lying, who do you think is cute?" but I kept insisting I didn't find anyone attractive. After that we started talking more and more and a group of us were talking about sex and he said "you probably don't have a boyfriend, do you?" and i said, "yes I do" and said "damn"...I don't know if he said that because he guessed wrong or what. But then he said that he also has a gf. A few weeks later someone asked him if he wanted to my phone number and he replied "she has a boyfriend" but then we joked around about people being sexy (they really weren't) and he said, "I guess I'd have to settle for someone like you". This was over the summer and then I had to move away for school. And now that it’s winter break we finally saw each other again and he asked me a few questions and if I’m still with my boyfriend. I said no and he asked why and I told him because, “He’s stupid” and he replied “Yeah, guys are stupid.” I haven’t seen him much after that. But does he seem interested or just friendly?

Actually, both sides of the described series of exchanges strike me as harsh--it is all too possible that my perspective is damaged, however, as a result of having to survive a "house of drugs" for nigh onto a decade. I am unable to assess at present whether the presumed prospective boyfriend is in fact interested; all I know is that I cannot rule out such an interest, given the described interactions.
