You can eat whatever you like while you have a cold. There isn't any miracle food that is going to affect the virus one way or another. If noodle soup sounds good to you, then eat it. If you like it hot and spicy, why not? It will tend to make your nose run, thanks to the peppers, but if your nose is stuffy to begin with that's not necessarily a bad thing. A cold is due to a virus, and your immune system has to fight it off. It will take a week to 10 days for that to happpen, and there is no medicine on earth that will shift it along earlier. You generally feel the worst on days 3-5 and gradually feel more human as the days pass after that. The most important thing is to keep yourself hydrated with plenty of fluids. That can come in soup broth, tea, or whatever your favorite beverage is- short of alcholic ones. Some folks prefer a nice hot cup of tea, some prefer a nice cold drink of juice. Just whatever works for you. Cold medications will help you cope with the worst of the symtoms, otherwise it's just rest and fluids you need. Tylenol or ibuprofen help with the general achy yuck feeling. Sleeping in a cooler room will help you breathe easier. Otherwise, eat what you have the appetite and inclination for. Noodles sound pretty good to me too. Udon, yum!

You may have gotten food allergies or food poisoning. It seems like the cold that you have means you should have A LOT OF CITRUS like oranges, orange juice, etc. Whenever I have the stomach flu I always have the "bread diet" It is recommended by doctors and it always helps. Its dry toast, rice, a banana, and applesauce. I would always reccomend soups but it depends on which kind. Like have chicken noodle, or something bland. I hope I helped
