Honestly... how should I go about trying to meet the right girl?

I'm basically looking for advice on how to meet an intelligent girl. I find girls that are a bit different and are able to hold meaningful conversation extremely attractive. I'd be lying if I said looks didn't matter at all, but I certainly value intelligence and personality above all else.

I'm a freshman in University so there are plenty of people to meet, but I don't really know where I should be going/what I should be doing to find the type of girl I mentioned. I don't have much relationship experience.. mostly because I have a lot of trouble finding the type of person I'm talking about. I honestly can't be attracted to flaky girls, regardless of appearance.

P.S. In response to Been there done that, that's good advice but I forgot to mention that my major is Engineering, which to put it bluntly, is not very populated with women. I think there is... 6 girls in my class?

You're in college, so believe it or not you're surrounded by smart girls. Pay attention to the girls in your classes. If someone attractive raises her hand and asks an intelligent question, or answers intelligently then bingo, you've found a potential someone. Then, it's so easy to strike up a conversation after class, just reference her comment and let her know how smart she sounded. The right kind of girl will appreciate that.

In your University, or you locality I am sure there will be discussion forums or debate clus or nature clubs or literary forums or art clubs or so many plenty of such associations or groups of people that take up certain activities. Enroll in those. If you ahve any specific interest or talents, enroll in such forums or clubs that have activities in your field of interest. You can enorll in Net bassed forums also. I am sure you will soon come across girls of your liking.
One note additionally. All girls are intelligent and can hold meaningful conversataions. It is that you should know how to engage them in conversations and develop your relation depending on not just looks or emotions, but on other planes also.

honestly, it takes time. ur gonna go thru a lot of girls before u find the right one. it's an experience thing. if u date a girl and decide that u didn't like so and so quality about her, u try again, this time the girl doesn't have that quality, make sense? and some time, u'll get lucky and stumble onto the right girl.
