my boyfriend was in a relationship 4 2yrs and he loved her but she left him and im having major issues with his past love. i read all the answers on Y/A about how u never get over ur first loveeven after 23yrs of marriage and 3kids. 1s i wanted to brakeup with him and he said i dnt wanna lose u how i lost her. i dont know what to think ....?oh yea another thing he used to buy her things he never brought me anything we been 2gether 4 a lil over a yr and only twice he brought me food. not that im a gold digger but i think that says something he brought her what ever she wanted

I think you need to develop some self esteem so your whole life doesn't revolve around your boyfriend. It's like you're giving his ex free rent in your head! However, if he has only twice bought you food, then what are you doing on your dates? Do you always pay? It should at least be 50-50.
I think you should play a little harder to get for your bf. Develop your own interests. Find things to do whether he does them or not. Don't spend too much time on the phone with him, and always be first to hang up. I think you'll end up happier that way.

well it's hard to get over your first love but i think they move past it mainly if the lost the first love because they cant hold on to that person forever. I'm not my bf's first love i was his 4th. He still loves his ex but not like he wants to be with her he just loves what they had/shared, i think that's probably how your bf is he misses what they shared and stuff.. Don't think to much about it. If you love him and he loves you he'll look past it and love you.
My bf was the same with buying his ex stuff and hasnt bought me anything but i look past it cause i dont want him to think he has to buy me stuff for me to love him.

She is his ex for a reason. He is with you now. It's true that your first love always sticks with you, but you shouldn't compare yourself to her. Maybe he does things different with you because he regrets the decisions he made with her and he doesn't want your relationship to end like the last one.
