Fear the he/she willnot be as you imagined him/her.

Fear that he/she willnot find you as he/she imagined you.

After the first awkward 5-10 minutes, I daresay everything will be just fine.

The hardest thing in meeting someone for the first time is how to adjust to that person in various aspect.First; if you are going to meet for a first time a person who can't understand/speak english and you dont know either how to speak his/her language. The best thing for you to do is to have a bit information about that person's country as well as their culture for you to interact during your conversation or you may become speechless ;be a good listener. Secondly; is when you;re about to meet your boyfriend's mother/relatives.You have to be always polite and watch your actions carefully.Ther's a saying that goes;" First impression lasts" so it;s up to you to make your first meeting of that person worthy.

When you meet someone for the first time, what goes through your head? are they kool? are they going to annoy you? do you fall head over heels for the person? What do you feel? These are the emotions that make first impressions so vital in being accepted by a new friend :p

1- Remembering the name ( sometimes I ask it 2-3 times)
2- making a good first impression
3- realizing they have quite the opposite of some of your views

I would say breaking the ice unless the person is more outgoing and talkative than you are. Best thing to do is be interested in what the person has to say. You can learn a lot about a person from what they say

i really don't have it hard because i always tell them my name the way it is supposed to be pronounced. here in the south of the U.S.A. they think it is amazing on how my name sounds. I'm not from the south so the name is a good conversation starter. plus the people here are very friendly

Finding something to speak about. The weather or asking how fine they are is not particularly interesting.

"Erm ah yes indeed it is very nice today"

"Yes it was horrible a couple of days ago."

"Oh yes yes"

"...."

"..." *clears her throat*

It is worse if you are in a room or something, at least if you're outside you will have the opportunity to comment on something.

Depends on the particular dynamics of the occasion. Is it business? Social? Romantic?
