Best way to keep guys from hitting on me?

I'm trying to take a break from dating, but lately I've been hit on a lot and it's getting really irritating.

Wearing baggy clothes doesn't really help. Most days I roll out of bed, get dressed and pull my hair back without really styling it. I hardly ever wear make-up. I really don't see what these guys are seeing because there are way prettier girls out there who are actually trying...

I try not to flirt, but I'll talk to people and laugh at jokes, being friendly, but I try not to be overly friendly or give the wrong impression...

I was thinking of buying a fake engagement ring, but the guy that asked me out today is married, so obviously that's not gonna work completely...

Does anyone know what I can do that doesn't involve changing my personality or looking like a complete dork? I need to look nice for work even though some of these guys are at work. Should I make up a boyfriend and talk about him all the time? What?

I do wear glasses. It seems to add to it as multiple guys have said they look hot. And that's with completely different frames!!

Ha ha! Yeah, the lesbian thing doesn't work well. That only adds to it for some guys... but not all. Some actually don't want to get involved there...

I can't pull off being a man-hater because I've always been more like one of the guys.

Oh, and yes, I do realize that not every guy wants to sleep with me. Thank goodness! :) My best friend is a guy and neither of us wants that from one another.

Oh, yeah, and dating the OWNER of the company wouldn't get him fired. Actually, I don't work for him anyway. It's office sharing basically. Still, point being, married men should not be acting that way...

Three things stop me cold in my tracks:
First is a woman with a tattoo.
Second is a woman wearing rollers and no make-up but you can't do that at work.
Third: This definitely puts the brakes on me:
At work just tell the guys that hit on you this: I am a lesbian (you can add: and hate men if you want to) so buzz off. I know that stops me cold in my tracks. No sense wasting time..
One thing about doing that at work is you shouldn't be going with guys were you work. That can get real messy in a hurry. And possibly get you both fired.

Don't put yourself in so many social situations if you're really that worried about it... Seriously.

I have no idea why guys would hit on you, after what you've described here, but I can only guess that the women that are actually "trying" probably seem unapproachable.

Or maybe you're taking men's friendliness the wrong way... Relax, not every man who talks to/smiles at you wants to have sex with you.

Maybe you can add some glasses I alway believed that glasses hides our best facial features. I can't really help in this area but the thing that kept from hitting on girls before i got into a relation was they had a bf but i know many guys who don't really care I hope everything goes as planned on avoiding the guys

So are you just here to brag? LoL! You don't make up with you ex just to get away from all these 'problems' with these guys. I've got 2 ways how you can survive this.

1. Put a sticky note on your forehead that indicate you're not interested

2. Just accept that you're too irresistible. Don't hide yourself with layers of clothes, just to look unattractive. Why change yourself for something like that? Tell them nicely and as politely as you can that you're not ready anytime soon, and continue enjoying your life.

I think the best plan is to just come out and tell them in plain english. You don't have to be mean, just say something like, "I'm really flattered that you're interested in going out with me, but I'm really off the market right now....sorry." Then turn and walk away. Don't stand there and give them a chance to try and coax you.
You must be attractive or have body parts that they find irresistable, or they wouldn't try so hard. If they continue to pester you then you may have to get mean, but try the "nice" route first. GOOD LUCK!!

Guys actually like it when chicks DON'T wear make up. Just be yourself and be polite- you're not interested. Just as a precaution (because men these days are so foul), take mace with you everywhere you go. And you're lucky that you're getting hit on. Think of all the people who would DIE to be in your place! :)

The best way to run a guy off quickly is tell him you only date guys that pay your bills! Or tell them you want to get married in two weeks either way they run for the hills!!!! I have tried both when I am asked by someone I would never date. This doesn't hurt their feelings and they feel lucky to have escaped!
