Depends on how deep it is and how easily you scar. Cat scratches can very easily become infected (think about where those kitty paws have been...), so be sure to put some antibiotic ointment on it such as bacitracin or neosporin (also reduces scarring). I have had few scars from cat scratches, and they have always faded after about 6 months.

I have cats who like to play a little rough at times and really really hate the vets! - my hands are covered in scratches which end up staying as scars....
I now use the Dr Max Powers Scar Serum twice a day for just short of a week, I have noticed the smaller scars on my hands have started to fade (they aren t noticeable to others, but as I know where they are I can still just see them). Its certainly a product that I am going to keep using.

Always wash/clean any cat scratches thoroughly and then apply some antibacterial ointment. They usually don't need bandages unless they are really deep. Scarring is determined on where they are and how deep. Don't take them too lightly - they can be dangerous. Just think of what cat's feet come in contact with: floor, dirt, and most of all, the litter box. I've gotten scratched plenty of times, but the only scars I have are on my shoulder from my 15 lb male. The only close call I had was from a little kitten who managed to hook one claw under my index finger knuckle where it sunk in deep. My finger swelled to 4 times normal size. If it hadn't been xmas eve, I would've gone to the emergency room.

Depends on how deep it was also. The more severe the scratch the more likely it will leave a scar. I have lots of scars from my cats.

A cat scratch is no different than any other cut of scrape. Depending on the deepness of the scratch, type of skin and sensitivity to cuts will depend if you get a scar or not.

It depends on your skin and how deep the scar was. Apply Neosporin during the healing process, as well as vitamin E oil which helps prevent scarring. If there are still scars after healing is all done (give your skin time, and the scars time to fade) try Mederma for scars.

My worst scar is from a dog scratch actually. Keeping Neosporin on it will help. If it's not deep, it'll probably go away.

It depends on the severity. Most of my scar disappeared but I do have one across the checks from my cat. It also depends on the conditions of your skin.
