I'm not sure if He would support what we know to be the death penalty. He did afterall, save people from being stoned by people who were just as guilty. I think the decision to kill someone is Jesus' call. Not ours.

Romans 13:1-7 would be an interesting public reading at the posing of this question.

I'm really not making a statement here these verses are something I've wrestled with, when thinking about subjects like this.

but then remember Jesus would know the TRUTH of a matter
and if they TRULEY repented or if they TRULEY would not
recommitt the crime...
