What scares me certainly isn't fundies. My parents are fundies and I love them dearly. What scares me isn't the death of my child but more...messing up my child. Making a decision that is wrong for them and that they must pay for their whole life. This keeps me up at night.

Werewolves... I know it's sad 'cause they are imaginary, but they totally freak me out!

But seriously, I have a panic attack everytime I think my son might get hurt. My sister was playing with him today and for a split second I thought he was going to fall.... I almost had an aneurysm. My biggest fear is someone I love being hurt. I think that is probably the most common fear in the world. So common that most people wouldn't even mention it, because it is too obvious.

I read your addition to the question and you're right. I feel that I have a responsibility to my son. A huge responsibility, it is my job to make sure he grows up to be a happy and well adjusted person. It is very scary to think that one mistake on my part will affect him for the rest of his life. BUT my son is only 7 months old so I have not felt the pressure as long as you have. I have not had as much time to think about it. I'm assuming that you have been a mother longer than I have, but I could be wrong.

Death. The possibility of no longer ever existing. It's like a never-ending suffocation.

People's faith. It enables otherwise rational and responsible people to do horrible things because they think they are supported by the divine. Second to that is kangaroos. They could drop a person with one swift kick.

The only thing that scares me is the possibility of something harmful happening to my child.

Otherwise I'm not really much afraid of anything.

Big friggin horse flies buzzing me when I'm wading chest deep in a fast moving trout stream and have nowhere to go! It really sucks! I hate those bastards!
