Yes the Bible was indeed written by humans but the humans were inspired by God. We know it's by God because humans wouldn't. No...humans couldn't think as far as God. The Bible was written long before any person you or I know or have even read about and yet the Bible still speaks of what's happening now...even tomorrow. No human could think that far ahead in life without God telling him what to write.

The bible says it is the Word of God. It was written by God through men.
Did anyone ever ask you to write a note for someone? They told you what to write on the note and you wrote it and left it on the table or frig for that person to read.
That is kinda like how God wrote the bible, He told the person what to write and that person wrote it.

Hi,

Sorry you never got a signed copy.

How do you know that the Bible is the word of God?

Its not, its a biography by four guys who thought this guy (Jesus) was cool and deserved to be written about. The wrote what he said and what he did.

Wasn't it written by humans?

Yes it was, like you and me.

How do we know its from God?

We don't, thats where faith comes in and it was not written by God, it was wrote by four people who thought that one guy was the son of God. Read it and make your own mind up.

It's an item of faith for Christians. Faith is, by definition, the belief in something without empirical evidence to support that belief.

All religions really are about finding personal strength through Faith when you get down to it, and most every religion has it's own focus for people to put their faith in. For Christians, that's the Bible.

You do see the point, good job! Because there is no such thing called God.

The concept of God is nothing but a fabrication we make ourselves to keep our minds 'in order'. In our childhoods we were accustomed to depend on our parents for everything. Later when we grow up, we see that there is no one to depend on anymore. We become scared, we want SOMETHING to depend on. That's why people easily accept the concept of God, without realising that what they worship is actually a self-made image.

The rest is up to you!

Because the Bible says it's from God. Can't beat that logic.

There is no way of proving it for sure. Religious people will tell you that God says its real and from him, so that it is real. But even God is speculation, and even if God did inspire it, people did write it which means its not straight from him. I think its a bunch of bull, but that's just me.

When you consider that it was written over thousands of years, by several different men, yet it is consistent in its message, the evidence is clear that this is no ordinary book.
