And why are they not mentioned in the bible? God must have known about germs and viruses if he created them.
Secondly, how can it be said that we have dominion over all life on earth when these germs have an obvious advantage over us?

God created us to share His love with. God also gave us some rules (EVERYTHING is governed by rules, from science to physics to the solar system) He explained what would happen if we followed the rules or chose not to.Kind of like a mom that tells her child,"you may play IN the yard, but don't go near the street, it is too dangerous and you might get hurt." The mother could have tied the child to a fence or something to keep him safe but she wanted him to have the freedom to explore and enjoy the whole yard. she gave him a choice..If the child chooses to play in the street there is a good change that he will get hurt , maybe even badly!God gives us the same kind of freedom, within limits(like the back yard) and tells us what will happen if we go out of the limits he has set. He gives us guide lines(like the ten commandments) not to keep us from being happy, but to actually guide us and increase our happiness, health and well being! He wants us to be prosperous and enjoy all he has to offer, the trouble is, we like a small child don't always listen. The diseases and troubles that are in the world are a result of us choosing to go out side of the boundaries that were set by God..There are many examples in the bible of all kinds of diseases, cerebralpalsy(sorry about the spelling)
lepers, blindness, boils all sorts of things that are still seen today, The bible tell us in the book of GENESIS 1:26 that we were made in God's image and given dominion over all the creatures of the earth and even the earth it'self but we chose step out side the limits that he set and that is why we have disease, death, famines etc..but by His mercy we are also discovering ways to over come these things, with modern science, medicines and so forth.

Take time to read the Old Testament. Much of it consists of how to avoid disease. God made us in the beginning to never have to deal with such things but when man chose to seek the knowledge of good and evil things became all messed up. Disease is not Gods doing, but are own. Man is the top of the food chain and we have amazing abilities over the Earth and all that consists in it but the problem is that when man chose to question God and his perfect way he saw it fit to curse the land with thorns and thistles, that's why I must work in a field that doesn't completely satisfy me.

How often does the, "Why did God create disease?" question have to come up?

I mean is there really something that is going to be said here that is going to fill your heart with an overwhelming peace about that question and you'll run off to 'tip toe through the tulips' and sing a happy song, because all will be right now.

Let it go, it's an old question and most that ask it, already have a presupposed mind set, so the answer really doesn't matter.

Because they're much more efficient than volcanic eruptions, earth quakes, tsunami, hurricanes and tornadoes. Some of God's other best killing methods are insect bites, animal attacks, severe injuries, drownings, and and the like. But, most of all, God seems to be into the pointless of war - pitting man against man must be his passion.

It's a good thing he's just a book character, isn't it. Whoa.

I think God created life because everything is separated into 2. Good and Bad. Light and Dark, Hot and Cold, North and South, Death and Life. Also, every action has a reaction. One may call this karma or what not, but it can be considered as consequences. Harmful diseases typically generate from something unclean or as Jews call unkosher. For instance the disease called Haemorrhagic Colitis comes from eating raw meat. That raw meat is contaminated with E. coli. In Torah we are commanded not to eat raw meat. There i a reason for this and the reason is so that we don't get sick. With out one, there is no purpose for the other. We need darkness in order to have light. We need life in order to have death. We need sequence in order to have consequence. We need sickness in order to have health.

Also i don't think we have dominion or control over all the creatures and I think that is a perversion of the scriptures. What I believe the scripture are saying is that we are of higher importance in God's eye. God created this world and everything in it for us, for humans. Therefor this gives us the responsibility of taking care of this earth and everything in it. In sense God gave us the privileged to rule over the world and everything in it. But not all rulers have control over their kingdoms.

Well first of all before you say that there is nothing mentioned in the bible about disease in the bible maybe you should read a little more.

Secondly, yes we do have control over the earth, or you could say that we were left in charge, although thats like being attacked by a bear and expecting it to stop when you say so.

The first thing that you must understand is that once adam and eve sinned it gave all ownership and rule over the earth to satan. that is why in the desert satan tells jesus that he can have all the kingdoms if he bowed to him. this shows that satan had the rule over the earth and that is why we are so easly tempted into sin cause satan owns this earth at this point in time. that is why sickness and death and hatrd runs so high in the world these days... So its not that God wants these things to happen but when people in general have corrupted His ways so much who are we to be under the protecting hand of Christ unless we completely surrender our lives to be and live for his and if you have be faithful and pray and have the faith that it will be healed. and if you can't do it pray with a group of people.

God is pure. God did not create disease, virus or sin man has.

Dominion over life is through repentance's to God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

GOOD QUESTION!
Disease is a curse, so is poverty, addicition and debt.
Disobedience by man is what brought on the curse, and separation from God. To restore us to Himself, God sent Jesus to pay our debt. He died for us, rose from the dead and kicked the devils butt! Those who accept Him as their savior and live for Him by His Word (the Bible), rule with Him and have dominion over the earth, "every creeping thing" the Word says. So by faith in Jesus Name we can take authority over disease, debt, addiction and every other curse that comes near our family. You can only have the authority In Him, by Faith in the Power of His Name, HIs Word and His LOVE>

1st uhh the Bible does mention people getting sick, it might not use the words germs, virus, or cooties, but it does talk about it.

2nd , this isnt a perfect world, we screwed that up along time ago, we dont have dominion over anything, not even ourselves, we just pretend we do :)
