It wouldn't have helped you any.
You were more concerned with music and video games the first time around rather than school... it would be the same if the lessons were about God.
Rock on dude!!!...
God Bless You.

Well, I would not allow my children to go to a school that taught only ONE version of God or ONE version of any holy text.
As for friendship and healthy life-styles, I am all for that.
Now, if public schools gave equal time and correct and accurate information on ALL Versions of GOD, and ALL Beliefs....I may be apt to accept that. Or at least give it a try.
As for your edit....sooner or later you will find out that you are completely powerless over what your children believe in when it comes to spiritual matters...once the calling is heard, and the path is shown...they will walk their own journey through this life...regardless of what you do or do not approve of as a parent....
Blessed Be

I'd feel just like anyone else: that my constitutional rights had been violated.
Well, at least for the first two. I don't know exactly how you "teach" friendship since any meaningful knowledge in that area would come from real life experience. And I'm not exactly sure how you would define a "healthy life style". Do you mean in a nutritional sense or in a spiritual sense?

I would Love it. There has to be some spiritual healthy form in school. Yes Parents should do that, but some parents aren't with it. And I am not trying to tell you what to believe in either. But I think, on your part, as a parent, to discourage it. Let your children make that choice, not your choice. They have to grow up in this crazy, sick and malious world. Don't you want them to feel what they want to feel? You are teaching, or would be teaching them to lie, cheat and be evildoers................I Will Pray For You..You will need prayers. God Bless

Need to do away with socialist schools in this country. Regardless of what indoctrination is going on there, it should be a parent's right to send their child to the school of their choice to have them indoctrinated as they see fit. The state does have a legitimate interest in having all children receive an education. We should continue to collect property taxes or income taxes or sales taxes to pay for education, but maybe vouchers could be given to parents to send their children to the school of their choice.

honestly, even though im christian, i wouldnt feel like that would be good. because everyone is titled to their own opinion....and equal opportunity. it would just be best if the religious stuff is held within the home. and friendship is already taught and so is healthy livin. so thats nothin new. but the religion factor would segregate our schools and cause so much unecessary chaos

Separation of Church and State was originally set into motion to protect the Church.
Religious organizations should try to continue to enjoy this blessed freedom, and to keep the government out of controlling their practices and beliefs. The cost of this? By keeping their end of the deal, and keeping their noses out of non-private places and functions.

Do i think it should be manditory? No.
Do i think it should be allowed? Yes
I should be allowed i pray whenever i want wherever i want. Same goes for muslum and whatever else religionis out there.
If you want to pray, then go for it regardless of who agree's with it.
Im not gonna make you pray in christian ways. Thats not my job to judge. i believe what i believe, you believe what you believe.
I dont care if anyone prays to their own religion. But dont give me bullshit and say i cant pray to my God because it "offends you" because its MY LIFE ill do what i want.

Friendship, healthy lifestyle, yes.
Bible, no.
God, they don't have to deny Him or teach Him.

I would suggest that they start teaching from The Book Of McMahonism, which is 100% true.
In the book, he defeats his enemies. In reality, he defeats his enemies. Vince McMahon defeated the Christian God on PPV.
All praises to the Holy Spirit Squad.
