Sure, I've been checking out some LCDs and Plasmas. There are several that you can plug a standard monitor cable into from your computer and use it as a display.

Look at the back of your monitor...the wire connecting it to the CPU is called a VGA cable...unplug it and see what the head looks like. Look at the back of the TV...does it have a VGA input, as in, is there a socket to plug the VGA? If it has one then plug your cpu to with the VGA cable to the TV via that port...and you are good to go.
IF you don't have a VGA port then your big screen tv isn't built for usagbe as a computer monitor...unless your purchase those boxes which can convert VGA into the standard tv (yellow, white, red) sort of cables...

This all depends on a few things, if you are using a desktop PC then you can buy a video output card that allows you to hook it up to the yellow video input on your tv. If you have a laptop then the chances are without a docking station you won't be able to do this. If you have an LCD tv, then most likely it will have an input that you can hook directly to either a laptop or desktop using your normal monitor output connector.

If you're talking about hooking up an OLDER TV set that doesn't have the PC input jack on the back of it, you want to purchase a TV video card that has the RCA outputs built into it....
You just plug it into your computer and set it up, then attach the cable antenna to it....then run the RCA connectors to the TV set....
