I have a question. How do we know that our God is real and all of the others are fake? I know we have more proof that ours is real, but what if he isn't? Almost every nation has their own god, and they all seem different. I hate when my grandparent's say "That religion is so fake, ours is so great and real." How do we know?

I answered with this yesterday. Sorry for the canned response, but it fits too well.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for; the confidence of things not seen.

Faith is - definition to follow

the assurance - the irrefutable confidence

of things hoped for - life eternal with God.

the conviction - the substantiated irrefutable proof

things not seen - these things being irrefutable

- The creation of the world by the command of God

- Many historical events which have now scientific proof

- People willing to die for a deity

- People willing to join the deity in times of persecution.

- 66 separate writings written by about 40 different writers over the course of possibly thousands of years and they all agree with one another.

- Thousands of people willing to risk their lives not for their beliefs, but for the documents of the faith.

- A small set of men who were chosen by their leader to spread the word of Grace and reconciliation; dying for that duty.

- A leader who proved His uniqueness by His manner of life, His lack of aspirations, His foretold life and death, and that he knew what that would be. He still went for ward with the plan.

- Other belief systems can claim some of this list, but only one can claim all of them.

- Finally, the last point of evidence is a question.

WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE EMPTY TOMB?

The Jews tried to buy the evidence. The Romans tried to hide the evidence. The Christians could not find the evidence.

It found them; on the road, in the room, at a meal, and ascending in the sky.

What will you do with the empty tomb?

Grace and peace to you

It is good that you have that question in your mind.....and the only way to know that your God is the true God and the rest are fake is by reading and studying the book that your religion claims that its from God and check if its saying the truth or not and also check if the scholars and preachers preaches and confirms every single detail in the book. And always try to compare other religion with yours and that's also by studying the source their believes in their books. My advice is that you always ask for prove from the book if you want to ask about something from the speaker and if you want to know about a religion always go to the scholar of the certain religion, so don't ask a Jewish about Islam or Christianity or a priest about Judaism or Islam. Every religion has its own concept of God so check which one of them is saying the truth and which one of them is flawless.

Unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other (false) religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave. As Christians, we take comfort in the fact that our God became man, died for our sins, was killed, and was resurrected the third day. The grave could not hold Him. He lives and He sits today at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. The living church has a living Head.

Maybe everyone is right! I think God/Goddess takes on many forms. We need to look into our hearts for what is right for us. Is English better than the Chinese language? It's just different. I thnk religion is heavily influenced by our culture, but we all have the same sort of Golden Rule and peace, love, respect is at the heart of all the major religions.

Archaeology, for one. There are places, people, even entire civilizations that appear nowhere else in antiquity but the Bible that have been discovered by this branch of science.

The testimony of billions of believers for thousands of years.
God is good and Christians tend to know that. Ask one (a real one).

Also by nature. The heavens declare the glory of God.
Evolution is a theory whichs defies the Laws of Science.
God as Creator intelligently designed the universe to function in an orderly fashion.

We dont know for certain. If we did, every rational person would be a Christian. I dont have a 10000000000000hour long video on the creation of the world and the great flood. I dont have a picture of God and I hanging out at the courts. This is a spiritual, nonempirical matter in our world that requires emprical evidence for belief. You have to have faith.

There is only one God and all the religions that believe in God call the same God theirs. There is only one God/Goddess/all that is. One creator no matter what you may call He/She/all that is.
What is most important is not the relationship that they have with their God, but what relationship you have with God.
It does not matter what you call God. He does not care. He only cares that you Love Him. You can say I Love you Father and he knows your heart and prayers before you even say or think a word.
Not all beliefs lead to God. Some do not believe at all.
Choose you this day to believe or not, but as for me and mine, we shall serve the Lord God.

Your claim as to having more proof is entirely bogus; there is no proof, or even evidence, of any such thing. Bottom line: all gods are bogus. The world works according to laws that prevail throughout all space and time, and there are no exceptions -- ever. See:

There is no other revelation that compares to the Bible. It has divine historical and prophetic aspects unlike any other written work. God also gives one witness that He is by the conviction of the Holy Spirit which brings conviction of the truth. If you follow God, He will work in your life and answer prayers showing you evidence of his leading in your life.
