we do grow normal hair.
ever thought that maybe your hair is the one that isn't normal? lol.

seriously though, let me educate you:
typical caucasian and asian hair (types 1a - 2b) can grow to long lengths, is very strong, can shine, becomes oily very easily, has little body, and mostly has no curl or waves.

typical black hair (type 3c - 4c) is tightly coiled/curled, requires much more maintenance, has luster, needs oil, and is very delicate. our hair is like high quality silk - it has be treated with care. our hair can grow to very very long lengths if left clean and undisturbed like with dreadlocks or braids.

personally i wouldn't trade my soft black hair in for anything...i enjoy the range of hairstyles we can create too much. it is much more versatile - we can go from straight to curly to kinky.

learn to appreciate the differences in the human race. =]

What is normal? Is purple hair normal? In that case, no, my hair isn't normal. But if normal hair is hair that grows and keeps your head warm, then yes, my hair is normal.

P.S. What about black guys, Asian people, Latino/Hispanic people, Native Americans, Hawaiians, Eskimos, etc.? They have hair that might be different than yours. If you're gonna place someone in a box, place everybody in that box.

P.P.S. What is different is beautiful. Remember that.

Your question is insulting. What is normal? If you have European, Caucasian hair, you'd be the odd person in many places on earth.

People of different races have different attributes, one of which is hair texture. Asian hair is different from European hair, too.

what is considered "normal" to you?!
Black people have highly textured hair... that is NORMAL. It would be abnormal if they had straight, fine hair.
