You're on the right track.
Don't believe just because someone says it's true...find out for yourself!
I was a skeptic until Jesus proved Himself faithful.
Good read: "What if Jesus had never been born?" by D.James Kennedy. Lots of good answers to your good questions.

You should rely on the Savior and the Word.
Yea and have you noticed that majority of those petifile priest are from the catholic churches. Something wrong there!

Trust in the Bible and what the Bible teaches about such things. I go to a church that I feel does just that. No matter how good a person might be, he/she still sins. But--my faith is not in people. My faith, my forgiveness, and eternal life in Heaven, comes from God.

You shall know the tree by its fruit.
A good tree produces good fruit.
A bad tree doesn't produce fruit.
No one is perfect, but we are to be peculiar. Peculiar or a stand out from the world. Not that we look weird, but rather moral and of sound mind. We won't be perfect, but we will go out of our way to make things right with those around us. Grace, love and forgiveness is a full circle.
Grace and peace to you.

AM,
I live by the BIBLE which is GOD'S WORD to Christians. I do NOT call the Catholic Church "HIS CHURCH" and I do not believe that Christ or GOD had anything to do with the wars that you are speaking of. I blame them on men and on satan. I read, study, and obey HIS HOLY WORD and attend a Non-Denominational Church which uses only the Bible as it's guide. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds

What people keep forgeting about the Church is that it is a human institution. It is not God himself who is running it but people he appointed. These people, because they are not God, are weak and commit mistakes. But because of their humanity, they are also able to learn from their mistakes.
Years before Pope John Paul II died he issued an encyclical saying that what the Church did to Galileo was wrong. The current Pope also issued that it is NOT true that unbaptized babies go to limbo when they die. These things do happen.
If you have any faith left with the Church, its still a good idea to stick with it. They have been correct more times that they were wrong.

There is a term for those who live by their own interpretation of Catholicism. Such persons are called Protestants.

i was baptized byzantine catholic, but no longer practice, nor do i force beliefs on my children, I believe there is a God, but without all the ridiculousness that comes with catholicism, if i sin, i will tell God in the privacy of my home, i need not tell a mere fellow mortal my sins to receive forgiveness for them, its all such a crock
