What implications does it have for the "gift" some Christians say it was when their god gave it to mankind? For instance, would an animal or microrganism have been allowed to eat from ALL trees in the Garden of Eden?

What are your thoughts (while keeping within the context of the particualr myth)?

Only someone that has had no contact with animals would make the statement that they can't reason. They reason all the time - their existence depends on it. It's true that they don't talk much, but they are certainly able to communicate, if you know how to listen.

And it's interesting to note that the 'myth' was made up by man. Man is the only one around proclaiming man's superiority.
