I'm a Roman Catholic, and our church has many, many programs for helping refugees and anybody else coming to the U.S. from other nations. But we're not alone. The Episcopalians are very good with social aid to Hispanics and many other groups. So are some Methodists, the United Church of Christ, and other Protestant groups. We often work together.

It's not a doctrine to hate Mexicans. Also very few people support the KKK and many US people are Christians therefore by the laws of mathematics not all or even most US Christians support the KKK.
The Americans (mostly from TX and CA) who hate Mexicans hate them because they are overwhelmed and outpopulated. The Central Americans hate them because they say they are arrogant. Mexicans hate each other for all kinds of class and racial reasons. SO how is it a US problem or a Christian problem?
Maybe you just like to create controversy?

I am an American Protestant and what you have been fed is a line of garbage. I do not hate the Mexicans or any other culture, however, if the people of any culture decide to break the laws of my country then as an American I think that person must be brought to justice.

You are generalizing people - which led to to the negative comments. I think you are referring to the very ignorant and narrow minded people who claim to be religious Catholics but actually are not by their actions. Why is this small group like that? Because they have been taught by someone down the road that intolerance and hate are acceptable, but everything else they must follow. Or some rationalize it as okay because a lot of religious media focusses on helping the needy, protecting what the church considers the sanctity of marriage and against evolution. I have not seen too much Christian media telling us to love our enemies and Mexicans.

I do not hate Mexicans! My little sister is half Mexican, my pastor for most of my Christian walk was Mexican, I loved him and was just heartbroken when he retired. My church has made many missions trips to Mexico to bring food, clothes, and the gospel. An affiliated church (not my congregation, but connected to them) runs an orphanage for abandoned handicapped children in Tacate Mexico.
My church also has reached out to the Dominican Republic, Asia, and Russia. We love all races, because God made all races.
Whoever is telling you that is lying.
(FATHER K!!! and here I was starting to respect you. Last time I checked Anglicans WERE protestants.)

Ok, I am Jewish but going to answer this. I have many Christian friends and some are Hispanic. A few are Catholic and a few are Protestent. I have never heard of an American Christian engaging in bad mouthing people from Mexico. I also believe anyone who supports the KKK is not practicing any religion but hate, not matter what they say.
I am also not sure how Mexicans and Americans are "enemies".

precisely that, the vast majority of Christ's coaching grew to become into common to persist with. Loving our enemies makes us humble and in maximum situations convey a metamorphosis of coronary heart in them. it is this style of training that places Christianity way above different religions and the explanation why i'm nevertheless a christian. 2000 thousand years and nevertheless there is not any different scripture that would journey the sermon on the mount so a techniques as virtues are worried !

I think we have a little confusion here.. I don't think Christians hate Mexicans to begin with..Especially when they are taught to love their neighbor, as they love themselves..Mexicans are NOT our ENEMY, but ILLEGAL ALIENS!!Big Big difference!Mexicans here LEGALLY, are called immigrants or LEGAL ALIENS!! Alot of Christian churches and groups actually are HIDING and giving asylum to the illegals.. Don't accept the easy answer to a problem situation.. If big business and the rich, weren't using and employing these illegals for riches and profits, There wouldn't be a immigration problem..Blame the real culprits .. Follow the money!! And as far as JESUS, don't even associate him with the world of today, because it is nothing more than a mass of hypocrites living abominations!

It's the political right in America that "hates" Mexicans, mostly inthe form of illegal aliens and I can understand that. The term illegal ought to mean something negative. It just happens that many of the political right (i.e. Republicans) are also fundamentalist Christians.
I'm sorry but Mexicans are viewed as predominately Catholic and many Protestant posters here have shown disdain for Catholics - they are reliving the reformation and have issues with the infallability of the Pope, saint worship and Mary diefication.
I hold all Christian religions as misguided so its all the same to me, Catholic or Protestant.

It means you are being fed mis-information. None of the churches I went to ever taught to hate anyone. The KKK and other pro-white groups may twist scripture around, but a Christian preacher will not teach hate of another human. Don't listen to what racists groups claim or say. It's their agenda, not God's or Christians (Protestant or Catholic). If a Christian preacher is teaching hate, then he is not a Christian.
