Yes. It is lust. Many think the Bible is just a book full of rules. It has rules, of course. But they are for the better. I learned the hard way. Pornography was a sin I used to be engulfed in. It was wrong, I knew it was wrong, and I kept doing this. I wasnt fulfilled and I felt empty because of this. Personally, I think it degrades both sexes, in my case women. I couldn't appreciate the naturally beauty of women simply because I was too perverted. This was a sin that was hard to let go of, because I was addicted to it. But I am porn-free and so glad of it. My mind is not perverted by this videos and images and I can be free of constant perverted thinking. I appreciate women so much more and have been blessed to have some good female friends in my life. God knows what He is talking about. Rules arent just rules. They better your life if followed.

What part of pornography is the sin? Watching it? Acting in it? The entirety of filming it? I'm not sure if I see the inherent evils of having sex on film...I don't see the inherent evil of sex.
As far as I am concerned, the only sin in this matter is becoming addicting to watching pornography and allowing it to dominate your life, in the same way that it would be a sin if you did the same for actual sex, for drinking, for food, all of that...

But, I say all this, with the mindset that sins do not exist, so, what do I know?

I'm not really sure about this sin thing and I know that I got off on a really bad start with so damned many points over the years and so few best answers and up until now I really didn't give a spit but today I ran across a person with 29% best answers and now I feel really inadequate and have reassessed my life and want to do better but with limited intelligence and unlimited stupidity, I am begging you to PLEASE give me the ten points for best answer so I can have better self esteem before I die.
Thank you for helping and caring about a pathetic old man.

Look at it this way
1) If Jesus was in the room with you sitting right next to you would you still do it?
2) Would you feel comfortable looking at it knowing that Jesus was beside you watching you?
3) Could you see Jesus ever doing it?

If you answered no to these three questions, then yes, it is a sin. I know that if I was in that situation, and Jesus was beside me, I would feel very ashamed and try to hide it.

If you believe you are an animal and believe in evolution the answer is no. If the bible is right then yes it is a sin.

I don't think so...

But I look at the people in the porno like hookers out on the street. If they get arrested why aren't the people in the video because it's basically the same thing. having sex for money.

But then again it's their life.

And it's on video so it's not like you're hooking up with a hooker, etc. so no it's not really a sin.

it is very very much a sin.

i don't know of any religion that lives by it, openly promotes pornography or at least tolerated its production/distribution

If it is... I'm goin' ta hell!!!!

But wouldn't that fall under "Lust" as one of the 7 deadly sins?

I think society should redefine pornography. To a 12-year-old kid, it's educational!!!

To an 80-year-old, it's reminiscent. ;)

As long as it doesn't involve underage women, then no it's not a sin.

Does it negatively affect your relationship with God?
Does it draw your mind to higher things?
Does it make you want to committ sin (adultry)?
Would you use it if you were hanging out with Jesus?
