No. The Mayans, Hopi's, Aztecs and a few other ancient peoples had calendars that ended in 2012 but I think there must be a reason.
I am not into armaggedon but I do think it is interesting those cultures ended their calendars at near the same time. I think if you (and I) studied the history of them there has to be a reason.
Then again, Osama or Ackmadimbulb could get their hand on the button and end it all.
Nothing we could do about it either way.

This is what the article says, and it relates to the Mayan calendar. The whole Mayan mystery is a very deep subject, but suffice it to say that the Mayan's calendar ended with the year 2012. After a number of attempts to understand why this is, I was more confused than ever. My point here is not about the Mayans, but about where in the world did this "secret alien extraterrestrial communication" come from? The article offers absolutely no proof or documentation on this very important point. Anyway, the world won't end in 2012 because the Mayan calendar stopped there, and even if it does, what are we going to do about it?

No way! People have been bringing up the end of the world since Biblical times and yet, here we are, still entertaining the idea like it was something new! The world will still be around until the sun blows up and makes the galaxy disappear in a black hole...But, the question is...Will mankind still be on Earth? Or will we nuc ourselves?

Couple of years ago I had a dream that it was around 2029-2039 and it was the end of the world

Anyone I told the story the y all say : it will probably happen
why? - people I know.... SO far dreams like that one - clear , understandable , real _ they all came true so far

Nope. All that will happen then is the Mayan calendar will enter the next cycle, and I'll have to renew my driver's license. (I just noticed that today)
Oh, and my kids will be grown and likely out of the house.
