Yes ,Arizona Will suffer a backlash, They still want to live in the good old boy's Wild West, The refusal to excrept the National Holiday to honor, Martin Luther King was a national disgrace, As long as they do the work of the that business and the minutemen, and stay in Anglo Neighborhoods, No problem. If they go into the Chicano Barrio's and try their tripe, It will hit the fan. The sheriff of Maricopa County is working hand in hand with criminals, "The Minutemen Chis Simcox "has ignored the request for financial accounting for a missing $1.8 million in fence donations.

Could it be that your Patriots ,Are nothing more than common Criminals.?

ADD ON He is arresting criminals, not general people, I think they said he could pick up a 100, but only the crime folks. The argument was did he have jurisdiction and he stated that they had given him 15 new deputies to do this law.

The sheriff has been reelected many times. He is popular. He is also n TV a ton. He was on the other night on one of the talking head shows and they had him and a pro immigration gentleman.

He said he was going to arrest another 20 and to get ready as that is his job and the law. He has said the Nazi, KKK and bad stuff they say about him only makes him more determined to do his job.

I cannot see the why everyone is making a "carnival" of the deal. I could see it if it was like New York or one of the sanctuary places, but it is not and they enforce the law. The law is the law. I got a speeding ticket and didn't get mad as I knew it was the law. That rat b@#$@#@ highway patrolman! Naw just kidding.

Law is law. they are made for a reason. Seems the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but I would not make a scene about it. They need to arrest the employers and make them pay the taxes for the folks they hire and abuse. Take care.

Also the public their voted over 70% to stop the crime and get the frugs out. Since there are a bunch of democrats there, you have to figure that the minorities are also tired of the crime and durgs. The crimminals are know to stay in areas where they blend in. Stop the crime and drugs and we can work it out! lIke the sheriff in Webb county Texas, over 60 people missing and most are minorities, they need protection as anyone else!

I'M NOT SURE OF THE OUTCOME BUT I TELL YOU SOMETHING THAT YOU MAY ALREADY SEE...but 1st...who benefits from keeping illegals, illegals? those that can easily exploit them by maintain them illegals, how you do that? deport them, easy, so they know they'll come back because some like the challenge, forget the jobs and the money, that's secondary, is just a quest that they need to fulfill, to live here as long as possible and once they have money enough they leave. Then those that want to keep them illegals, you racists, call some dumb as*es in the audio media(radio) and ask them to stir haters so that way....OOOOOHHHH!!! nnnnoooo!!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot the last time I posted a comment similar to this that I was about to say, a cry baby got it's feelings hurt and it reported me...I guess haters only want their opinion count even if they hurt others but when it comes to hearing the truth they start whining like crying dolls or ambulance sirens. so I stop here I don't want to hurt no hater feelings. bye whiners racists

The state has the moral obligation to adhere to the will of its population, obviously they dont think to highly of Mr. King, thats their right as Americans . Not everyone thinks there should be a Martin Luther KIng boulevard either in their city.Arizona is a proud state ,with proud people and i support their decision

No Arizona will not suffer a backlash. Far from it. Sheriff Joe has been a hero to many in the state, an icon of values and stalwartness.

There is absolutely no validity to a comparison of illegal immigration in 2007 with the civil rights movement of American blacks in the 1950s and 1960s .

No the money that they are going to keep via no longer having to instruct the babies of illegals, to grant shelter for and different advantages for will keep them money! have you ever considered what number crimes are committed via the illegals in Arizona? they have made Arizona the kidnapping capitol of u.s. 2nd purely interior the international to Mexico city! ninety% of that are committed via unlawful immigrants and that's a documented actuality

I am just happy to finally see this happening =)

We left AZ because it was turning into a new mexico. trash everywhere, spanish all over the place. in my country and my home state.

Crime rose fast and heavy. we got tired of it and left. was a beautiful state.

I am curious to see what happens.

Truthfully, I think the whole country will be watching. It will be interesting to see if they have people to occupy the job vacancies, and, the vacant homes and apartments. How will it effect the small businesses that have serviced them?

On the other hand, the openings in schools, the re-budgeting of funds for bilingual services.....

I am eager to see how this plays out.

that will a lot more Americans than illegals

1; housing, who's gonna pay the rent to all those landlords who are going to loose their tenants.

2. Construction, Contractors are going to have an excuse to charge more for their already high services

3. Retail stores and small business, are going to lose a lot of customers and consequently some will have to close
thus the government will lose sale taxes revenue,

Most likely a federal judge is going to strike this law down pretty soon. That's what happened in California and Hazleton, PA.
