in the girls bathroom, there was a note about a threat of shooting
they said that eather thursday or friday that there is going to be a shooting at my school
the office knows about it but at my high school nothing like this has happened. i am terrified to go to school, and im not sure if the police know. i told my mom and she said that she would call the school but she hasnt and the school is now closed for the day. all my classes are by doors going in or out of the school. i dont wanna go to school now. im not sure what to do anymore. any support or help would be great.

If the school would not listen to you, I would report it to the police.
The crime here is 'abuse by terroristic threats'
(TITLE 18: CHAPTER 27: SECTION 6 OF THE CRIMES CODE)
It is a misdemeanor of the first degree. It's not quite a felony, but it's very serious and should be taken as such!
I am not sure what the penalty is, but I think that it may qualify for arrest depending on the state you are in.
Regardless of the penatly, the person who threatened this MUST pay the cost for the evacuation of the school building (should this ever be the case). This person may also be expelled from school.
Now that's IF they are caught. The sad truth of the matter is, the offender may NEVER be CAUGHT!
I think that the police should investigate it. I do not know what state you are in, but here in Pennsylvania, the state police MUST investigate. Bring as many people who saw it as possible to the police department where you will make the complaint!
I would not worry about having to go to school however. The reason this "wanna-be terrorist" is writing this stuff is to scare you and cause fear. By not going to school, you are letting this person succeed!

These kinds of threats show up every time there is a shooting someplace else. Mostly they are pranks by students too stupid to even realize the consequences of such a prank to them, personally, or to the other students and the school.
I suspect that both the school and the local authorities have taken precautions to prevent anything like this. You should be safe.
Let us all know if anything happens. . ., I'll bet nothing does.

Really? My high school cancelled school tommorrow because of a shooting threat that has been going around... If you worry so much, stay home
