I know God has a plan for my life, but I can't help feeling that every time I do wrong (and repent afterwards) another oppurtunity or good "thing" suddenly vanishes. As if everything that happens depends on my ability to remain utterly pure and upright. I pray and I pray, but it seems my, eh, fortunes are swinging back and forth as if on a pendulum.

And call me "spiritually immature" but I find it hard to keep waiting for God's plan with no noticeable results. I'm 16, and some things it seems that prayer is useless.

Advice?

I was once a teenager, and patience was DEFINITELY not in my vocabulary.

For teenagers now, in this push button, pop a pill, drive-through instant attainment environment...a teenager and adult are considered SUPER patient, if they wait two minutes to order a hamburger, get online, for pay for their purchases. And technology does nothing to encourage a modicum of patience.

Think about it this way, almost every five year old jumps into the front seat of the car and demands to drive. You may let them sit in the driver's seat, honk the horn etc. etc., but no one with HALF a brain would a give 5 year old the keys to the car and tell them "Go ahead drive wherever you want!"

Simply put, as a young Christian, you are learning and successfully building on the bedrock foundation that all your adult life will hinge on.

The five most difficult things for a Christian to learn to do is:

1.) Tithe. The first 10% of anything/everything you get or earn belongs to Almighty God.

2.) Be content and find joy and happiness and cause for laughter where you are at any given time or event in your life.

3.) Wait on the Lord and in His perfect timing all things will come to pass.

4.) Do not let the sun go down on your anger or your sin. Repent and/or forgive as quickly as possible.

5.) Keep on praying, keep on asking, and keep on seeking
for by the diligence of your praying, asking, & seeking, will your prayers and requests be heard and answered by Almighty God.

Take comfort and pride in the fact that you, as a 16 year old, are already far ahead of some much older, but less wiser Christians in your walk with The Lord. He loves you kiddo. When He knows that you are mentally, physically, spiritually, and educationally ready to handle demands that your heart's desires will demand of you...He will bring them into fruition.
He WANTS above all else for you to prosper and be happy.
He is not going drop you unprepared for your heart's desire, because He WANTS you to succeed.

It might be more correct to say, the fact that you are on the earth at the present time, this close to the end of the world's history, is no accident, that it is all orchestrated by God. The major events in your life will be orchestrated by God, as far as such things as jobs, moves, marriage, family, etc. At 16 your job now is probably just to work on getting an education. You have the right to pray about what to study as you go, and to get help as you study. Prayer sometimes requires more study and a little bit of sacrifice as well. Sometimes the answer might be as simple as "Everything is on track. Just keep doing what you're doing." It might be such a simple answer that people think there is supposed to be something more. Are you praying for something new to work on?

think about it ok so everything was supposedly created with a big band right ok where you there when that happened to watch it .....um no so you have faith that it happened like that you have proof whatever what if that proof was wrong you are not perfect your wisdom is like absolutely nothing nothing compared to the wisdom of god he made you weather you believe it or not the fool says there is no god in their heart , you know because of jesus we have hospitals he said to hospitality others to bless those who persecute us he cared for people did you know that when jesus was here as a human he came into a world that had no love, no one cared for no one selfishness , pretty much how it is now becoming old people were considered useless he took care of them gave them love, who do you think was the reason the first orphanage was created by a follower of jesus by his foundation whenever the parents of kids would die, they were left alone but the teaching the foundation of jesus christ was and is still what makes the difference once i heard an atheist say that we humans are no different than animals ok so why don't we look the same or walk in 4 we are made to HIS IMAGE THE BIBLE TELL US SO , and why if the bible was written 1000s of years ago and it said and to this day this place is still called like this who would know that only the one that holds the time in his hands the begging and the end jesus christ , he said those that belong to him would recognize his voice those that didn't wouldn't also the story of moses the sea was parted and after the the lord's people had passed the red sea drowned the king of egypt his horses, chariots well my friend they found proof and they found proof that they belong to the king of egypt god bless you and may his mercy fall upon you and your eyes shall be open

You have much to learn, let God teach you. I was so confused when I was 16 that I can't even explain, but, after many years of trying to understand, I finally just let God take over and I was enlightened to this world, and the world to come. I tell you the truth, this world is only a moment, in the middle of eternity. Live for the Kingdom of God, now and forever. If you live for the Kingdom of God, all your needs will be taken care of by God. Now that is all your needs, not all your wants. Try to make all your wants nothing more than your needs.

God be with you,
William, a bond-servant of Jesus

God knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows when a sparrow falls from the sky.

Yes, God is the ultimate "micro manager." Let Him into your heart, let Him guide your life in every aspect. He has to be both Lord and Savior.

I know you don't want to hear this, but you are 16. It's hard to see that you have 80 some years of life ahead of you. Please be patient. God has a plan for you! Do a word study in your Bible for the word "patient" and "patience." I think it will really help and God bless you.

Prayer is useless. For the last 2000 years, when the Pope lies on his deathbed, millions of Christians pray for him to recover. So far, every Pope has died. Not one prayer was answered.

Clearly if God won't answer those prayers, he's not going to take much interest in your little problems.

I suggest you give up your religion and come across to the dark side. We have a lot of fun over here. If nothing else, we usually manage to get things into perspective.

Reminds me of that song, "I'm your puppet." "I'll do anything you want me to, I'm your puppet."

Some people have this view of God that he sits in heaven at a control board running everything and everybody which simply is not the case.

We are to pray and request things, even wisdom. We would not have to do these things if God were orchestrating everything.

Doesn't it make you angry when people blame God for their own dumb decisions and mistakes? The criminal gets a gun and shoots the store owner; his own free will decision, and somehow this is God's fault.

I cannot say anything that you would not find positive.

Firstly, god has no plan for you. God does not exist. If you rely upon something or someone to rule your life, you will find disappointment.

But, speaking on rhetoric, since you have free will, god has no bearing on any aspect of your life. You have to make what you want out of it.

So, stop thinking god is in control and do what you want in accordance to your beliefs. You'll live a more fulfilling life.

NO

many and most are because of us

and when we mess up it just takes longer for us to get back on track

and God Allows things to take place for us to learn we need to depend on Him and not ourselves

Let GOD LEAD

and you will find you will be right where you need to be ,
and right where its best for you to be
doing exactley what is right for you to do

Just be patient and quit trying to make your life happen
and let God work it out so it can !!!
