Canon Waterproof Case Float?

I was considering buying the underwater case for the Canon SD1000 case, but would like to know if it floats if I were to drop it in the water?

Well is there anything I can buy to attatch and make it float?

I think the weight of the camera would keep it from floating.

My friend has one of those and he says it floats just under the surface of the water. Don't know if that will do you any good or not though.
