i'm going to have to say either a fried onion or a fresh tomato

i'd like a tomato roasted over an open flame or barbecued
same with an onion
Potato, fried in light oil (not too much) salted, and cheese sprinkled on top :D :P

I love cabbage, and I like it cooked about a hundred different ways including raw in cole slaw, but my favorite is to put cabbage and potatoes in chicken broth, add a spoonful of butter and a dab of bacon grease and simmer until the cabbage is just barely done, still a bit firm and not mushy. Serve with butter, use the broth for soup.

Fresh green beans, barely steamed, then sauted in a little bit of olive oil with red pepper flakes. Yum!

Asparagus - roasted wrapped with a slice of bacon or if no bacon then served with a bit of butter.

I also really like eggplant Parmesan.

carrots and fried green tomatos. carrots glazed with a honey and sugar glaze, or carrot cake. i like to dip my fried green tomatos in a sour cream dip.

anyway cook ripe tomates and scrambled eggs together
i'm not really sure how they do it but its good
