I think I'd try another vet. Those symptoms can be caused by cancer, but they can also be caused by an allergic reaction. If your dog is allergic to the ivermectin, his lymph nodes would probably be swollen. Mange or any other skin issue like hot spots, fleas, grass allergies etc.. can cause a dog to lose weight from the stress, too. The walking thing...perhaps a lymph node is pressing on his spine? I think I'd at least call another vet and tell them the situation to see what they say.

Ivermectin overdose causes neurological problems. The dog is very shaky and wobbly, and will have trouble standing. He can salivate a lot, and in general be "out of it". Supportive care, ie; fluid therapy and hand feeding are required. Recovery can take many weeks. This can all happen after one dose of ivermectin. Is he a puppy? If he's an old dog that has developed mange, he truly may have other serious problems such as cancer. Mange is usually a problem with young pups or old dogs because of immature or impaired immune systems.

get a second opinion. Especially if your dog is a collie type breed, many of them cannot tolerate ivermectin. At the rescue I volunteer with, the director doses the dogs with ivermectin to treat demodex and it sounds like the rounds your dog got, but she gives oral, not injectable. That just doesn't sound right. Call another vet.

Get a second opinion, please for your dog's sake. While a biopsy may not seem like a big thing, it is an invasive procedure that your dog may not need if he is simply suffering from an allergy. Dogs can suffer from allergies just like people can, and they can cause many various symptoms. Have your dog checked by another vet before submitting him to a biopsy. But don't wait too long... if it really is cancer, you want to find out as quickly as possible.

If you do take your dog to another vet, that vet will probably also want to do a biopsy, since those symptoms sound like they may be caused by lymphoma (cancer).

listen , you dog didn't get ,an over dose !!
perhaps you dog does have cancer, the swollen glands
are pointing to that ...... sorry
your vet is treating you dog the best way he can.
call your vet asap ,and explain whats happening, to your dog
could be a side affect to the drug , or there more to your dogs health, that you vet doesn't know as yet .
i would do the biospy as suggested, dont waste any more time, shopping for a new vet ,
my heart goes out to you ...... i can only wish you luck
