Question

ok well i hav a project on the mushroom and i need interesting and intertaining fact about it 4 my oral part (45 sec.) so its not that long but i need 2 keep them intertaind and sugjestions?

Legend of the Puffball
Once upon a time in England a farmer got up very early in the morning and started to market. On the way he stopped to check his sheep asleep in a field. On his way home that afternoon he stopped by the field again and noticed that all the sheep were feeding but one, it was still asleep.
Worried, he climbed the fence and walked up the hill to check on the sheep. At the top of the hill, he found it wasn't a sheep at all, it was a giant meadow puffball, bigger than a bushel basket, that he had mistaken for a sleeping sheep. The farmer lugged the puffball home and sliced it and preserved it in jars. It fed both he and his wife for the entire winter.

I did a 30 minute oral presentation on bioluminescent fungi. IF you just want 45 seconds, then say something about Mycena Lampadis. It is a glowing mushroom that has sticky surface that traps insects that it can be a source of food when its enzyme breaks down the insect. It can also emit a strong luminescence(glow) that can enable a person to read a newspaper at night, if the weather is pitch dark and the climate is just right for the mushroom.

There was an article about a truffle that was found in Italy recently it sold for like 330,000$, the truffle of the century!! Found by pigs, very cool fungi, caught my eye!! Good Luck!!
