I have a quick question, my husband wants to buy a car [in which we have the money] however when we go to the insurance office do we need to pay a downpayment in order to get the car insured?

Unless you have an existing policy with the insurance company, you will have to put money down on the policy. If you are adding a car to the existing policy, they usually will bill you for the difference and you do not have to put money down!

Every company is not the same. For some, you will have to put down a payment, for others, not at all. Call and check around for the best deals.

I believe you do, but I think it depends on the insurance company. Typically they want a paymnt though.
