I think it depends on the Aunt or Uncle.
I have an Aunt & Uncle who were teens when I was born so they have always seemed more like cousins than an Aunt or Uncle. But I've always called or referred to them as Aunt "so and so" and Uncle "so and so".
Even now that I am an adult I still call them by Aunt or Uncle. But if I am talking to someone else about them I'll call them by their first now.
Same with my other Aunt & Uncle of my other side.
I think it really depends. I mean what have you called them since you were little? Usually parents set who their child will call what or the child will.
With my kids I have always referred to their uncles and aunts as Aunt "so and so" or Uncle "so and so". I just think it is a sign of respect.
My sister just got married and my oldest asked me what she should call her new uncle and I said he is Uncle "so so". She asked why she couldn't just call him by his name & I explained how it is a sign of respect.
This is how our family works. Others may work differently.

When I was little, I always was taught to use "Aunt" or "Uncle". I was never allowed to call an adult by his/her first name. As an adult now, I call my aunts and uncles by their first names and everyone is comfortable with that. That transition was just natural. However, I lost a great-aunt in late 1999 who was 103. I always called her "Aunt". She was a magnificent lady!
If I had any grandparents still living, I would use Grandma and Grandpa. It would feel very wrong to use first names for them. Sort of like calling your mom by her given name. Just not right!

When I was younger, I reffered to people as Aunt Jane or Uncle John, for example.. Now that I am older and closer to my relatives, I refer to them as Jane and John. However, if they were a more formal relative, and I did not know them as well, I would still call them by the proper title.

Best to refer to them as Aunt or Uncle. If they invite you to call them something different, they'll tell you.

It is better to call them 'aunt ////' or 'uncle ////' .
This is how it is in the Asian countries, I'm not sure about America.
